VeV Vigano Kontessa Nero Espresso Maker

I've been using a cheap aluminum espresso maker forever the kind your parents probably used. I had issues with the interior corroding and decided to try the Vev 12-cup and I can't believe the difference. Same beans, same grind but a completely different taste. I had no idea just switching to a different pot could make such a difference...it really was night and day. Only gripes are that assembling it to get a leak-proof seal seems a little challenging, and although it's labeled 12 cups, I get about 16oz. per brewing.

I like good coffee and this pot makes good coffee. It is not quite espresso but it is still great in a latte. This is a well constructed piece of kitchen hardware. Looks good + solid. Makes enough coffee for my wife and I to both have a large cup.

This espresso maker is top notch. Excellent construction and produces a fine cup of espresso. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stove top espresso maker. It also looks great very classic design and solidly built. The handle doesn't get too hot from the stove flame either, which is a deficiency in some makes.

We ordered it, and after a few weeks, the top lid did not close completely, rendering the entire unit useless (the coffee would otherwise percolate all over the stovetop). Considering the price, we were really disappointed. We'll go back to Bialetti. Just wish someone made a proper large-size stovetop coffee maker.
