Does not contain a permanent filter listed in Amazon's description. Nor can any maker's or generic permanent filter be used because of a flat sided basket.

Does not have a swing out basket as listed in Amazon's description, but a flip up top with different effects -doesn't open under cabinets. The catch is flimsy and easily broken, and is necessary to press down the basket to open the valve pressed against the carafe top.

Correction: a standard permanent filter will deform when pressed down with the lid to fit, though not how they normally work. But it is listed as supplied with them, and it is not.

My Mom saw this and loved the color. The problem was when you put in the coffee pot I think the top of coffee pot should have had a hole to accommodate where you put the filter, therefore, causing the top to open. Left message for seller, call was never returned. Returned item.

1 star since it was broken the small tab (Cheap) that holds the lid down was broken on arrival. Nice size coffee pot, 8 cups
