Update International EP-12 Stainless Steel Frothing Pitcher, 12-Ounce

Update International EP-12 Stainless Steel Frothing Pitcher, 12-OunceVery small. Steams enough milk for 1 serving of double-shot latte. When deciding on size, always measure liberally. Take into account that steamed milk usually doubles in size if done properly.

This is a decently built pitcher, but too small for good frothing action -tends to spill over. A 20 oz. pitcher seems to work better.

This pitcher's dimensions are: about 2.65" wide at the top, about 2.8" wide at the bottom and about 3.6" deep.

This is an ok size for creating a small 2 cup cappaccino with the Mr Coffee Cappaccino Maker. This size does not give you very much frothing room for larger drinks and I will probably purchase the 20oz size soon. The quality is excellent, sturdy stainless steel and heats the milk alot quicker than a ceramic mug I have been using. Get this for making smaller drinks but if you want more frothing room I would get the 20oz or even larger.

I was initially impressed with the frothing pitcher when we received ours from Amazon. However, being a espresso/cappuccino novice I didn't realize a few things. First, the pitcher is a little tall to fit under the frothing wand on our newly purchased De'Longhi EC155. Not a big deal because with a little finesse it could still be accomplished. And besides, not really to be held against the pitcher, more of my fault. Second, the 12 oz size, as many others have said, is pretty restrictive when trying to get a good froth. Again, more my fault/inexperience then to be blame on the product. However, the final straw is that the handle fell off our pitcher after about a month of use. The pitcher was never put through the dishwasher. . . and even if it was, should it really fail after a month of. Maybe we were just unlucky and received one produced on a Friday or something. Either way, one star for being so fragile.

Well, I don't know how excited you can get over a cup but, I guess it's good. The handle is pretty sturdy and it holds the milk the way it should. It's a cup

Espresso Crema and Gusto (Lavazza) Ground Coffee, 8.8oz (250g)

Espresso Crema and Gusto Ground Coffee, 8.8ozShipped UPS which was unexpected so I had to end up paying extra to have them reroute it to my job so I could actually be there to sign for it instead of getting notices that nobody was home and they would be back at another hour. Outside of that, tasty tasty! I will always prefer Lavaza to Illy 10x over. Just smoother and richer on the senses without that dark acidity that I just can't stand. And I know people complain about too little foam but I don't care about foam (I think foam tastes disgusting) so this was perfect!

Vev Vigano Carioca Nero 3-Cup Espresso Maker

Vev Vigano Carioca Nero 3-Cup Espresso MakerEvery morning when I wake up and make a nice shot of espresso with this well built contraption, it makes me happy. It has an old-school authentic feel and reminds me how simple things can work incredibly well. Simple & great tasting brew.

PS I first purchased the 1 cup maker, which is tiny. The 3 cup is perfect to fill about 1/2 an averaged size coffee mug.

cheers!

I use this everyday and no issue with leaking or leeaching of aluminum. No need for a fancy electric expresso machine, you like coffee and this does the trick.

The product works fine for espresso. I wouldn't say you are getting the highest quality with this, however it is functional.

After our traditional Mr. Coffee espresso maker stopped working we decided to go the traditional route with the Vev Vigano Carioca Nero. I remember my parents using these when I was child therefore figured why not go this way for making espressos. With the many models out there we based our decision on price and number of shots it could produce. The results from the maker are pleasing particulary with the improved taste and boldness. As for output, we get approximately 2.5 cups each time. Not sure if this is expected but we cant seem to get a full 3 cups.

The handle mechanism is not seated properly. You can see this by looking at the picture of it. Also, the top and the hinge for the top feel cheap to me. For someone you want to buy once, buy something a little nicer, IMO. The lid ball-handle and the handle itself are plastic. Not impressed.
