[Best Holiday Gift] PHY 4-Cup/0.6L Switch Espresso Coffee Maker / Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe & P

[Best Holiday Gift] PHY 4-Cup/0.6L Switch Espresso Coffee Maker / Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe & Permanent Filter & Semi Transparent Water Tank, RedI was looking for a 4 cup coffee maker, with a cone filter, with a glass carafe, and if it was in red it would match the other red items in my kitchen. So I ordered this coffee maker. Not only did it meet all the criteria, it makes good coffee, takes up very little space, and is a bargain price. The only thing I wish for is an automatic shut off timer. Other than that, perfect!

The title claims "switch espresso coffee maker." It's basically just your regular coffee maker. There's only one switch on the machine (on and off).

Pros:

-Small and compact (fits right under the cupboard)

-Comes with the permanent filter

-Really fast

-Easy to clean

Cons:

-No automatic shut off

*Would definitely recommend to any solo coffee drinker like myself.

Black & Decker DCM600W 5-Cup Drip Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe, White

Black & Decker DCM600W 5-Cup Drip Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe, WhiteBlack & Decker 5-Cup Coffeemaker is an inexpensive & quick way to a delicious cup of coffee. The size of the pot is perfect for one person or two. So easy to use & easy clean up. Nice, clean lines. Great gift idea.

Note: when filling the water resovoir & pouring the coffee, it's best to use the thumb tab to lift the carafe lid, otherwise the liquid tends to over flow the spout.

This appliance makes just the right amount of coffee for me with all its faults. The water guage is invisible unless you close the lid. If you close the lid how do you pour in the water? The overfill guide is two holes in the water compartment. If by accident, you overfill, you have water all over the counter. After the coffee is made, the entire appliance is dripping with condensation. The price is right but sure has lots of design problems.

This will be the THIRD one of this particular B&D model that I will be purchasing. OK, call me "insane" but I have liked the way it makes coffee and will just put up with its drawbacks which I wish B&D would fix:

(1) Without a Pause(to stop drips) it still can drip and any water/coffee that falls on the hot plate WILL corrode it over time. On my second one of this model I even covered the hot plate with foil at the outset to prevent the corrosion but over time (a year or little over) the foil corroded and, thus, the hot plate;

(2) On/Off button broke. On this second model, the On/Off button simply cracked and then fell off. I had to discard this coffeemaker due to the danger of electrical shock.

Other than that, I've been pleased with its size and the coffee it brews.

This is an update for my original review shown below. After having the pot several more months, I have noticed that the hot plate does get corroded from hot coffee dripping on it. Also, one other problem, which has also been mentioned by other reviewers is that pouring out the coffee can get messy it tends to drip and dribble unless you pour slowly and keep the lid raised while pouring. However, considering how much use I get out of it (at least three pots of coffee or hot water a day), I'm still happy with it and my original rating of four stars stands. If B & D can come up with a better, non-drip carafe and a hot plate that doesn't corrode, they'd earn five stars from me.

The Black & Decker 5-cup coffeemaker is a good little basic pot for those times when you only need to make enough coffee for one or two people. I generally use a 16 oz. mug for my coffee and with this pot I get almost two mugs full. One of the other reviewers mentioned that the hot plate portion of their pot had corroded from the coffee dripping onto it. I haven't had that problem but I've only had my pot for about three months. There are no bells and whistles with this machine no timers, automatic shutoff, etc. It's just a good basic coffeemaker for people who don't want to make a big pot of coffee when all they want is a cup or two.

Black and Decker DCM600 5 Cup Drip coffeemaker without serve and pause AND I LOVE IT FOR THAT REASON. Old fashion simple design . The serve and pause feature is one feature that breaks easy. The 5 cup capacity is unique . It's not too small and not to big. But the biggest draw for this model is that I don't need to use the carafe if I only need a small 16 oz of coffee , all I need is to put my mug instead of the carafe. Most mug will fit under this model. with pause and serve model , it is not possible . The newest single serve coffee will cost $35$150 dollars like the Kurig but we will have to buy a coffee that will fit in the machine which in the long run could cost more . So overall by price and convenient Black & Decker DCMM600W is the winner. I am ordering my 4th one. I give one as a gift . I put one at work and I gave away one to my daughter so Ineed one at home for myself.Hopefully black and Decker will continue this model. I called this the classic one .Unfortunately they are hard to buy . Not too many are available in store. Specially the Black Model.

Mr. Coffee BVMC-ECMP1000 Café Barista Espresso Maker

Mr. Coffee BVMC-ECMP1000 Café Barista Espresso MakerI purchased this from the local Bed, Bath & Beyond since the price in store was the same as that on Amazon($199), but I could use a 20% coupon in the store. This was a 'blind' purchase I couldn't find reviews for this product anywhere on the net, in fact I seem to the first person reviewing this on Amazon as well.

I didn't know what to make of the Mr. Coffee brand (cheap/commodity brand in my opinion, maybe I'm mistaken) and the $199 price tag, but the feature set seemed to be good for the price a 15 bar pump, a milk frother that automatically dispenses the milk into the serving, espresso/cappuccino/latte at the press of a button and a cleaning cycle for the frother. I've used the machine for a little more than a week now and can confidently say that this is one hell of an espresso machine.

I've tried Illy and Lavazza in the machine so far, and the espresso comes out great you won't believe the crema you get. Highly recommend it!

Pros:

+ can use whatever brand of coffee you prefer, you're not stuck with expensive pods/capsules

+ strong pump that produces rich crema

+ milk frother

+ espresso/cappuccino/latte at the press of a button (the machine automatically adjusts the amount of milk and coffee in the serving)

+ options for making single, double shot and custom servings

+ milk frothing can also be controlled manually (you can adjust the amount of milk in the serving if you're unsatisfied with what the automatic programs provide)

+ the milk container and the lid of the container (which contains the frother) are both dishwasher safe, although I haven't tried washing them in the dishwasher.

Cons:

none that I've found so far

However, if I could make one change to the machine, it would be the amount of force you have to apply to insert the milk container into the machine (and to take it out). I suspect this has to do with the O-ring in the interface between the machine and the container. Since the container and the interface are all molded from plastic, my fear is that one of them will give sooner or later. Let's hope that Mr. Coffee has tested this extensively.

Okay, I'll be honest, at home espresso machines don't tend to impress me. Price is not really a factor, I have sent back a thousand dollar LaPavoni and kept an 89 dollar delonghi, which did okay espresso but the pump dies every 12-15 months, I'm on my fourth, having had two pump failures and one dead out of the box. I had a baby Gaggia, worked fine until it started leaking, had a phillips Saeco that lasted five days before pump failure. I have the most basic nespresso and love it, but my gosh the price of the capsules is a high price to pay for espresso love.

I remember when Mr. Coffee became a staple in households where I grew up. Before then it was instant or percolator. My Great Aunt got a Mr. Coffee and all the adults gathered round with cups held out for this amazingly delicious coffee. Since then higher end products have reached the market, but I decided to give the Mr. Coffee Barista a chance when offered one. And getting it through vine is no guarantee I'm going to like it or be inclined to give it a pass, just check out my singolo review on a machine that costs more and does less.

There are other barista espresso makers that have the milk reservoir and cappuccino and latte functions. Nespresso has one, Jura does, but the price point tends to be much higher than this Mr. Coffee (at the time of this review the Mr. Coffee is selling for 199, a real bargain if it only made espresso, let alone the rest of what it does)

My espresso is black, no sugar, cream, or milk coming between be and my brew. I want a lovely crema (the frothy cream colored goodness on top). Espresso should not taste sour or over-extracted, strong but not bitter or burned. I tried both a preground espresso illy, Ground Espresso Coffe, Fine Grind (Dark Roast, Black Band), 8.8-Ounce Tins (Pack of 2) ) and my own espresso ground from a whole bean using the finest setting on my kitchen aid pro burr grinder. Both worked and produced what I consider a truly great cup of espresso, probably the best home espresso I've had except from my nespresso, and better than many I've bought in coffee shops.

Next my husband tried the milk drink with a cappuccino. The milk gave a lovely froth and he had a very attractive drink that he said tasted fine. I asked about the heat level and he said it was about the same temperature he gets it at coffee shops.

The Barista pro is simple to use out of the box, reading the instructions makes it even easier. Pretty much anyone who can put some grind in the portafilter, tamp, turn it in the holder, and press a button should be able to draw a really nice shot.

Pros:

Large tank that is easy to fill from the back.

Easy to use portafilter, both to fill, tamp, and get in the machine. I have some espresso makers that were fussy with the portafilter fit.

Portafilter had a really nice feature, the insert turns and locks. There is a flip up holder from the handle like standard portafilters have, but you don't have to use it. Anyone who's played dig in the trash and fish out the portafilter at 6AM knows what a lovely and useful feature this is.

There are two presets for each function, a single and double shot of espresso, a small and large cappuccino and latte.

There is an override function to customize your own shots, up to five ounces, though I find both presets work well.

The milk tank and frothing being built into the machine makes adding milk so much easier then pouring into a steel cup and trying to fit it just right under a built in frother in other espresso machines while pumping it up and down and trying to get the milk to froth. Again, push a button and voila.

The milk frother is adjustable so you can vary the amount of milk in your latte or Cappuccino based on your taste preference.

The really cool way you push in a platform sideways for a large cup and just pull it out of the nook for an espresso cup. While seemingly low tech, it's one less thing to stop working and it gets a lot of use in our house, and it's easy!

There are a few cons:

the portafilter is drippy. It drips after the espresso is done, drips all the way to the Dreamfarm Grindenstein 4-Inch Espresso Stein, Black to dump the espresso (makes excellent compost for the compost pit) and drips to the sink. This is easily fixed with a towel underneath.

The only other negative I can find is the two spouts on the portafilter are a bit far apart and I have to pay attention to get some of my narrower espresso cups under right so both are going in the cup.

The Mr. Coffee Barista espresso maker is a great espresso maker. I am extremely impressed and wish Great Aunt Lily were here to share a cup of espresso in my house to see how far Mr. Coffee has come.

This machine is fantastic! It is user friendly and easy to clean. The froth is amazing and I love that I can customize each drink that I make. My husband loves the espresso and I get to have a coffee shop drink every morning in my own home! The price is great compared to other similar models and I love not dealing with pods! I would highly recommend this machine.

I'm always a little hesitant to review an appliance. I'd hate to steer someone in the wrong direction, particularly on a high ticket item like a refrigerator or TV. I mean, really, you never know, maybe I got the only good one, or maybe my needs aren't the same as yours. That said, Holy $&%#, this thing is amazing, PARTICULARLY for the money. It was less than half the price of my Starbucks Barista I bought 10 years ago. I can't compare it to a 3 thousand dollar restaurant style machine, because I don't have one of those. I CAN compare it to the Barista AND my local Starbucks.

For $200, this is an excellent value. Even the packaging was a work of art and ingeniously set up for both reliable safe shipping, and ease of unpacking. Sounds silly, I know, but when you open it up, you'll see exactly what I mean. That's always a good start. If they take this much care with the packaging, I have to assume the build quality comparable.

The Quick start directions are all you will need. It's FAR easier to use than any of the fancier and far more expensive machines I was considering purchasing. As a matter of fact, it's so easy to use, I think I can safely call it idiot proof.

I drink my coffee black, so my first drink was naturally a double espresso. As close to perfect as I've ever made at home. I suggest you purchase some REALLY good quality coffee to take full advantage of just how well this thing works. We purchase whole bean dark roast Costa Rican coffee exclusively and grind it as needed. The espresso had a beautiful rich crema and was delicious. My first foray into a latte for my wife was met with great enthusiasm. She LOVED it and when I showed her how easy it was, she was excited that she could make it herself. Evan as a trained chef, she never really got steaming the milk for a latte or cappuccino down to an art.

It disassembles and cleans very easily. Fill the milk reservoir with your choice, milk, soy, almond milk, half and half, whatever you'd like. Remove the reservoir and just put the unused beverage in the refrigerator when finished.

I can't attest to the reliability or longevity of this machine, I've only had it a week, but frankly I don't care. I'll easily save the cost of this machine several times over if it lasts a year by staying out of Starbucks.

This is a poorman version of a semi-auto espresso maker but a very very crappy one at best. It doesn't do any one thing well. If you are looking at this unit to save time, then be warned it will NOT save you anytime over manual espresso makers. Because of the poor design, it requires A LOT OF CLEAN UP after each use and there is no way around it.

1) one button espresso shot maker I can never get an equal shot out of this machine, it's either over or under, never consistent amount of espresso. This is especially true when you use the latte or cappuccino button, you can tell sometimes it just stop the espresso shot when the shot just started.

2) milk frother not really a frother, more of a bubble maker and it splatters milk droplets all over the places because of the fast and violent high temperature boil it does to the milk. Because of the unit is black, it's very easy to see the milk droplet splatter after every use. Your drink will have hot milk, espresso, and milk bubbles no milk microfoam whatsoever.

3) milk container is poorly designed as several reviewers said, it requires a lot of force to insert the container or remover it, you can actually splash milk out of it during insertion or removal because the energy required to insert or remove the container. Because you will need to store the milk container in the frig, there is no getting around of not removing the container after each use. Also, there is a sensor that detects the milk container and it will would not let you start a drink until it thinks the milk container is properly seated. The sensor seems to be effected by temperature. After the milk frothing process starts and the mechanism is heated up a bit, my unit would randomly sudden-stop the frothing process as if the milk container was removed or loose, even though it is pushed back as far as possible and perfectly seated. This would require removal and reinsert the milk container to reset the fault condition before unit will allow you to restart a drink.

4) milk pick up tube problem the tube pick up design has problem dealing with the changing vacuum force needed to draw the milk to the frother. When the milk container is full, it has no issue pulling the milk but as the milk level gets lower and lower, the tube struggles to draw enough milk. In my experience, when the milk container is about 1/3 or 1/2 full, the latte or cappuccino created will not have enough milk, or become extremely inconsistent. In those cases, you will have even more milk bubble as less milk gets the high temperature boil, creating an even bigger mess.

I think the idea of this machine is to partly automate the creation of an espresso drink. Since it doesn't grind the coffee, the only thing it automates is the milk frothing. However, the milk frother and related mechanism are so riddled with design flaws, the process is anything but consistent and require a lot of clean up after each use.

I actually clocked myself, factor in clean up time, it actually takes less time to make a latte or cappuccino using a less expensive manual espresso maker with a standard build-in frother.

Saeco 21103 Royal Professional Fully Automatic Espresso Machine, Silver and Blue

Saeco 21103 Royal Professional Fully Automatic Espresso Machine, Silver and BlueUnlike the review below we've been lucky in that we've had no problems with our unit.

It's been exactly 3 years since we purchased our machine and we haven't looked back. The machine was bought as we were spending $40-50 a week at Starbucks. Now we use organic milk and beans and make our own latte's at home.

The machine is super easy to use. There are various settings for the grinding and dose of coffee. I just set the dose on max and change the grind depending on what beans I use. The machine gives you 3 sizes of coffee depending on what you want. The steam wand works well but can only be used after coffee dispensing is finished. It takes 15-25sec for the steam wand to really start.. steaming. The cappuchinore on my machine doesn't work but I only tried to use it after we had the machine for 2 years so I'm not bothered too much. I also have the direct water connection to my reverse osmosis system. So I haven't had to de-scale yet and might never need to.

Another useful item is the rinsing cycle where the machine runs hot water through itself for 10mins. At the end you get to see how much "dirt" was cleaned out. Quite satisfying :)

The machine also has some idiot proof features. One is when you put in pre-ground coffee but then press the coffee button instead of the pre-ground button first. The machine makes some funky noises but then dumps everything out. I'm not proud to say I've done this more than once....

Overall through it's the best $$$ I've ever spent and would highly recommend this machine. It might not be the cheapest (or most expensive!) but you get what you pay for!

p.s. the coffee is amazing!!!!!!!!!

This coffee maker makes excellent coffee and is able to make it quickly enough to safisfy 25 thirsty employees! The milk steamer is quick and efficient too!

This machine makes good espresso and good cappuccinos. In terms of fully automatic machines, its price is infinitely more reasonable than that of a Jura. The price of a Jura X9 at $6500 is about that of a commercial machine. This Saeco will do nicely until I get my Faema E61 or Prestige semi-automatic 2-groupers with a Mahlkonig grinder. I doubt if my commercial machine will make a much better espresso or cappuccino but I think a manual machine has fewer maintenace problems and I have more control over the milk foaming. However the Saeco does offer the manual steam wand as well as its cappuccitore (milk foamer) and they both work well. I also like the energy saver feature of the Saeco since I prefer not to power off the machine. I also like the cup warmer. The screen menu is easy to use and the different options and diagnostics are useful.

Very disappointing. We were convinced by the positive reviews from others so we went ahead after much research and ordered this espresso machine. it arrived, didn't work (electronics problem) and the friendly Saeco customer service person told us to simply return it. This is our second attempt with a Saeco product and we have now given up on this brand. The first try was with a factory refurbished machine which never worked despite the fact that we went the extra mile and sent it back to the Saeco factory only to have it returned in the same inoperable condition. The Saeco 21103 Royal Professional was our second attempt, this time we got a totally new machine. The result was the same: a machine that didn't even begin to work.

Thank heaven for Amazon and its splendid return policy. Save yourself the hassle and pass on this one.

I bought the predecessor to this model in 2005 from Costco ($900 such a deal!!!). Since then, have produced more than 10,000 cups of coffee (there's a counter in the menu) with no issues, just periodic cleaning. Can be a little tricky to get the brew console in/out of the machine, but overall, no complaints. NOTE I like French Roast style beans, which can be oily. This can somewhat gum-up the internal passages. Once, I did have to remove the burr grinder mechanism to give a thorough cleaning, which was a little tricky instructions at http://www.cerinicoffee.com/custompages/Tech/Grinder%20Cleaning_Magics_Royals.pdf).

DeLonghi ESAM6620 Gran Dama Super Automatic Beverage Center with Automatic Cappuccino

DeLonghi ESAM6620 Gran Dama Super Automatic Beverage Center with Automatic CappuccinoThis is our second similar machine...the first one still works fine but the display went out and it was out of warranty, and we loved it so much we replaced it with the next newer version. This coffeemaker makes the best coffee and it is super convenient!

I spent a month trying to figure out which super automatic espresso machine to buy and landed on one of the first items I seriously considered I way over thought this purchase. The Gran Dama makes absolutely perfect espresso really strong with a beautiful crema on top. The micro foam for lattes and cappuccinos is incredible. Do yourself a favor and get some double wall glass cups (i.e. Bodum). The distinct foam and espresso layers are a work of art. To be honest all I was hoping for was drinks that were close to a Starbucks experience didn't expect the drinks would be quite as good but close. But guess what, it's actually better not joking. BTW, it's super cool looking heavy all stainless exterior. I couldn't be happier with the Gran Dama or recommend it any more highly.

Makes the worst lattes. I describe this as the "neediest" automatic espresso machine I've ever owned. It constantly needs something (refill tank, empty grounds, fill beans due to small hoppers, bins and tanks). Highly suggest not buying this model.

Espresso Tamper 50 & 60 Mm Sizes Cast Alloy Hand Coffee

Espresso Tamper 50 & 60 Mm Sizes Cast Alloy Hand CoffeeI have a DeLonghi EC155 and the smaller size fits very nicely for tamping. It is able to hold over 50 lbs of pressure with no problem. I used the tamping method from Good Eats, where you put 50lbs of pressure, then twist.

I have looked everywhere for a tamper that would fit Saeco Aroma for a sensible price, but 53mm tampers were either too expensive or just unavailable. Although this one doesn't fit properly, the small end of it covers about 90% of the basket. Overall, I'm happy with it. It's a temporary solution. Tamper brand or construction is not a huge variable in the resulting quality of an espresso shot. You might at well use something out of the hardware store as long as it tamps the loose grounds well enough. This is why I am skeptical of tampers that cost 50-100 dollars. If RSVP Terry tamper fits your basket's proportions you should consider it.

Buy Espresso Tamper 50 & 60 Mm Sizes Cast Alloy Hand Coffee Now

Bought it to use wih my DeLonghi EC155 espresso maker. Worked fine but finish is really crappy, some mystery shiny plating over a crummy cast metal. Returned it when it started to flake metal particles. Instead I got the RSVP SS tamper for $14.95 which is worlds better of solid SS.

Read Best Reviews of Espresso Tamper 50 & 60 Mm Sizes Cast Alloy Hand Coffee Here

Yes, 1 star! I would go less if I could. While yes, this could be a step up from the cheapo plastic tamps that arrive with your machine, it is a very small step, and in some cases a step backwards. I invite you to consider saving up a little longer and getting a better tamper. The "Rosewood" brand tampers are a knockoff of the industry standard Reg Barber, and are just over $20 here on Amazon. They are proof that you don't need to spend $70 if you are a home user that is not pulling hundreds of shots a day.

You really do need a tamper that is sized to properly fit your porta-filter, or your pulls WILL suffer. Measure the inside of the filter and buy accordingly. The pressurized water will go the path of least resistance, and if you tamper is too small, you will over extract the outside edge and under extract the middle. The result is a shot with little to no body and bitter. Did I mention bitter? A good tamper makes a HUGE difference.

Being flat on both ends makes this tamper very hard to use correctly. Getting a level tamp is very difficult.

Do yourself and your espresso a big favor and just walk away from this item. Search online for videos on how to properly tamp, and you will quickly see why this tamper is not a good choice, and learning all you can about the process will only improve your shots.

Best Coffee Maker

While there are plenty of fantastic coffee makers on the market today, I wonder how many of us actually know which one is best for us. Over the course of this article I would like to cover some of the most popular and varied coffee makers so that you can at least see which kind of coffee maker suits your needs best.

There are many things that you may wish to consider before buying a new coffee maker, here I would like detail at least some of those things and hopefully allow you to get an understanding of what kind of coffee maker suits you best. Here below are the main things we should consider before buying a new coffee machine.

1. How big is the reservoir? How many cups of coffee can the machine make?

2. Does it come with a thermal carafe? or is it a glass carafe?

3. Is there a grinder attached or do we need a separate one?

4. Does it have a water filter?

5. Is it a multi-cup machine or a single server?

If you make sure to consider these points before you make any decisions about buying your next coffee maker, I don’t see you having too many problems. Over the course of this article I would like to try and give the main reasons for choosing any one kind of coffee maker over another. It also needs to be noted that I have not included any of the much cheaper coffee makers that retail for around 20 dollars, it’s really not worth spending the money, spend just a little more and you break into what I call the “gourmet” coffee maker category.

Cuisinart DCC-1200

The fifth place spot on this has to go to the Cuisinart DCC-1200. I did wonder whether this machine really deserved a place on the list, but considering that it produces coffee of such a high standard and the price now is at a low of just $65, it earns the place as best budget coffee maker. It does come with a few flaws, the biggest of those being the lack of thermal carafe, but that is something that hinders some other machines on this list too, and while I would say that in an ideal world all coffee makers should come with a thermal, I can’t get too upset by the lack of one on my “budget machine”. To summarize this machine I have to say that this machine is the best sub 70 dollar machine available, and if you don’t want to spend in excess of 100 dollars and don’t mind the fact that it uses a thermal carafe, this could be a good choice.

Bunn NHBX-B

The number 4 slot has to be given to the Bunn NHBX-B, which is the fastest machine on the market that doesn’t have the commercial price tag that comes with a lot of other Bunn models. At just 129 dollars we are getting something pretty special for such a low price. The Bunn can brew coffee at just 3 minutes for a full 10-cup pot of coffee. When we take a look at that speed compared to other machines on the market we can see that in many instances it is 3 times faster than its competitors. The Bunn produces amazing coffee of course (otherwise it wouldn’t be in this list), but it does have a couple of issues. The fact that it is a commercial machine means that it has the quirk that it must be left on all the time, or you face a 12 warm up time. This of course wouldn’t be an issue in a coffee house as it would be turned on before opening. To summarize this machine, I would say go for it if you want a machine that produces actual coffee shop level coffee and you don’t mind leaving it on all the time.

Cuisinart DGB-900BC

The coffee maker in the number 3 slot just had to be the Cuisinart DGB-900. This machine was chosen because it is the most comprehensive coffee maker available on the market today. This is because, not only does it come with the thermal carafe, it also comes complete with a grinder. Having a grinder attached to the machine means that all we need do is fill the bean hopper with beans the night before, set the timer, and when we wake up in the morning, we have freshly ground, freshly brewed coffee waiting for us in the thermal carafe. The biggest negative on this machine is the noise level that the grinder gives off. I would like to quickly conclude that this machine is fantastic if you don’t mind the noise the grinder gives off and or you don’t want to grind your coffee beans separately.

Zojirushi EC-BD15BA

The machine that gets the number 2 slot is the Zojirushi EC-BD15BA. This machine is probably one of my favorites, the reasons for that are mainly because of the thermal carafe, but also because of the price, and the fact that the coffee really does get all of the flavor out of the beans. I have had some machines in the past that have struggled quite badly when it came to brewing gourmet blends of coffee properly. With this machine you should have no problem getting all the flavor out of the beans. I would thoroughly recommend this machine if you are looking for something that will match the majority of coffee makers for flavor, comes with a thermal carafe and doesn’t cost the earth to buy.

Breville BKC700XL

The top slot on this top 5 list, goes to the Breville BKC700. The reason that this machine gets my top recommendation is because it not only produces probably the best coffee that you can hope to get from a coffee maker, but it’s actually a remake of the Keurig B70 platinum, with all the base features identical to that of the B70. The reason that this machine is on my list and not the B70 is quite simple. The B70 and the other single servers from Keurig are very noisy when it comes to pumping. This problem is completely removed on the Breville however. You can stand just a meter away from it and barely be able to hear that it is running. The Breville also comes with an iced beverage function, so you can get the most of your coffee maker during the hot season as well. The pod varieties that Keurig have over on their website is fantastic as well. They have brought a whole host of gourmet manufacturers to produce a huge range of coffee, teas and chocolates, which now at over 200 varieties makes the nearest competition look quite poor in comparison.
