much for the price .But I did expect more than what I got. Save your money....I guess you can't have it all with a 12 volt appliance. Just wanted a better cup than what the truck stops offer, but the thing takes such a long time to brew the mug full and there's no lower heating element...okay if you want it black, but it's barely warm if I add creamer.

It does make steaming HOT coffee, however I when I compare it to my home coffee maker the only difference is the home coffee comes out burning hot to where I got to wait about 5 mins for it to cool down enough to drink it. So if I had to guess I would say this coffee maker makes it maybe 5 degrees cooler. But again it's hot enough and you won't be disappointed. As far as brew time in under 15 mins. I timed it and its more like 17 mins. The quality seems on par with your typical home coffee makers. I think it's a really nice bonus that it comes with a stainless steel 16 ounce mug, reusable filter and measuring spoon. It even has a lower heating element. Do not listen to the negative reviews, they most likely got a defective unit and did not want to exchange it. If you're on the fence about this, I say go ahead and buy it. Also save your receipt it does have a 1 year warranty.Read Best Reviews of Roadpro RPSC-784 12-Volt Quick Cup Coffee Maker with 16 oz. Metal Carafe Here
I'm using this coffee maker now for 14 days and the coffee still tastes like plastic. In addition it takes wayyy to long for filling a cup but at least I can make coffee in my car, so I'm rating it with 2 stars!

After reading a lot of reviews I was really skeptical of this item. I tried it out today and made 16 ounces of coffee in 15 minutes. Might not have been the hottest coffee I've ever drank but it will seem very good in a rest area in the middle of the night. It is 12 volt so it's not going to perform like the 110 volt Bunn you have at home. The mounting bracket is of questionable value because the mounting screws are on the back and then the pot is fastened to the bracket from the underside. I could not find a place to mount it so the screws could be inserted in the underside. One reviewer mentioned it didn't sit level. Simple solution. Remove the mounting bracket. There is a water level indicator that will let you know when the water reservoir is empty. All in all, I'm pleased as punch.
