Buy Kalorik Coordinates 8-Cup Coffee Maker, White/Red Now
This is an inexpensive, good looking product that works as well as any of the more expensive brands. When I discovered that, in this industry, a cup is only four ounces I went looking for something that would fill two sixteen ounce mugs like real people use. This was perfect. I may buy more for gifts.

Holstein Housewares H-08006 6-Cup Stainless Steel Espresso Maker Mate
This design is sleek and has a small footprint, especially as compared to an espresso machine. This pot is attractive enough to be left out of the cupboard while not in use. It's also much easier to clean than a machine, however, the stainless steel needs to be wiped down after washing or it will show spots as all stainless steel does.
You can adjust the strength of the coffee by adjusting the grounds-to-water ratio to suit your taste. Also play with the fine-ness of the grind of coffee. As I use it to make lattes at home, I use a fairly fine grind and don't fill the water chamber all the way up to produce a stronger brew. You will notice a few grounds toward the bottom of your cup of coffee, but that is customary and not intended for drinking.
My past espresso makers have all tended to "spit" a bit toward the end of the perc, which makes for a messy stove. The particular upward lip design on this pot prevents that from happening. Use care not to get grounds in the threads between the chambers to avoid dripping while pouring.
A couple of other notes: this handle really does stay cool enough to use right after the perc is done. I did receive the spare gasket it was tucked into the upper chamber.
Highly recommend!I bought this because it was inexpensive and I wanted to try a stovetop expresso maker...also it is not aluminum...I have had it a week, and I'm really pleased...it doesn't make real expresso, but it does make great coffee..even from my cheap storebrand ground coffee (I regrind to get finer)...It's simple, it cleans up well, it's all around a fine coffeemaker.

The Holstein makes a great cup of strong coffee but it's not espresso. Its very easy to use and clean and it works just as fast as any automatic drip with better results. After a few tries I was thinking of returning it but it would be great for camping or as a back up because all you need is water, coffee, and heat and you can't beat the price. So it looks like I'll be spending to get that 9 bars to get my true espresso but I will keep this one in the stable.Read Best Reviews of Holstein Housewares H-08006 6-Cup Stainless Steel Espresso Maker Mate Here
I have had an Italian aluminum stove top espresso maker for 15 years. It truly makes espresso. I decided to switch to stainless steel because of the possible Alzheimer's link from aluminum. This coffee maker isn't designed well. Some of the water stays in the bottom even if you put it on high. More importantly, it makes mediocre coffee and not espresso. I am sending it back and buying a more reputable and expensive brand.Want Holstein Housewares H-08006 6-Cup Stainless Steel Espresso Maker Mate Discount?
This is the cheapest stainless steel one there is and when compared to the Primula aluminum, it performs amirbly. It doesn't have a pretty spout. It doesn't have a nice rounded top part. This is true, but it is well built. One thing that I like better about it is the screen and gasket is built into the bottom of the top part. With that said, I like that the Primula doesn't have a rubber gasket in with the actual coffee, because it doesn't need it. Actually, I'm not sure this one has to have it. The coffee isn't going to leak back down to the bottom, is it?
Anyways, it makes great espresso. It helps if you use Guatamala coffee if you are going to make Cappucinos though. You need the bite with the milk added.
Also, you don't get as many coffee grounds in this compared to the Primula. Of course, I didn't grind the coffee for that one.

Cuisinox Liberta 10 cup Espresso Coffeemaker
Cuisinox should send out better directions (but few folks give clear instructions). They need to include a photo that labels all the parts, but I managed to figure everything out. The extra metal filter with a small knob on top goes in upside down in the coffee holder for when you make only a half pot. They warn you not to screw the top on or off by twisting the handle as the torquing would make the handle come loose. This makes sense. Just hold the entire top to screw on and off. Don't pull on the handle to tighten or loosen.
They warn you to be careful that the handle gets hot. Dah! Any metal handle on the stove will get hot.

First, I was sent the liberta IN A NATURAL CAT LITTER BOX THAT WAS PARTIALLY SMASHED. The carboard liberta box was also partly dented inside the bizarre cat litter box. Unsurprisingly, the liberta itself had extremely apparent stains and even grains of espresso! The next liberta that was supposed to be new also had scratches and smaller stains, but was obviously still used and still arrived in a natural cat litter box that was indented. The first even had huge stains of rust inside the water compartment. Both were huge dissappointments, and the next merchant I tried on a different website also sent me a product with espresso grains inside the metal compartment and even gave themselves 30 extra days on the second purchase to refund me because I had to send it back to Cuisinox for it to be "verified" as an old product! The woman from that company who spoke to me even refused to admit that her company possibly could send out a used product, and repeatedly tried to make me admit that it must have been "damaged" during shipping!
I know refuse to do business through wayfair for at least stainless steel products, and I unfortunately am going to use amazon prime to get a smaller size so at least it will not arrive in a cat litter box until this product becomes more widely available from companies that don't send products in ruined boxes. I have never had an ongoing problem with any metal cookware product, but it looks like I am going to have to use amazon prime and pray that the next one arrives in an unsmashed box, with no espresso or stains, but at this point I probably would not care if it came scratched!
