This is the worst espresso coffee pot I have bought. It leaks, it spits. Also, after the pot has cooled down, it still is almost impossible to remove the filter to make a new pot. I would rather go without espresso than using this pot. DON'T BUY IT

I have alot of experience with stove top espresso units, and was really disappointed with this item. It leaked significantly no matter how tightly it was put together. Additionally, after only one month, the handle broke off, with not much pressure on it trying to take the unit apart.

I am in love with this hot water pot! Debated long and hard before ordering, but so far, it's worth every penny! It's so much easier and faster than boiling water on the stove or in the micro. Originally, thought we would use it just for tea, but have found the instant very hot water to be useful for so many other things, both cooking and cleaning. First, ordered the 4L size, but upon arrival, immediately realized we should have ordered the 5L size, as we thought of so many more uses. Returned for the 5L size and are happy we did. We especially like the fact that we have plenty of hot water for pre-warming thermoses in the morning, as well as making large amounts of tea to fill them. Works much better than anything else we've tried. This unit is very easy to use, keeps water within a couple of degrees of the selected temperature (208, 195 or 175 degrees F.), heats fairly quickly and seems very well designed and made. A pleasant surprise for us was the color of this unit. It is BISQUE, not white or white grey, as stated, so it blends well with ivory/bisque and looks okay with white. The electronic control panel is a pearlescent bisque color, kind of pretty, not as plain as we thought it would be. We now leave it on all day. Only negatives, so far, is the 7 hour timer, which usually, isn't right for our schedule, so we just plug it into a different timer to overcome this obstacle and the quirky magnetic plug, which sometimes would unexpectedly disengage. We solved that problem by feeding the cord through the folded down handle before plugging in. One other thing, the 5L size is taller, making it easier to fill taller thermos' and carafes right from the dispenser. But the 4L size would probably be okay for most people. It's nice being able to have a cup of tea at a moments notice, we wish we had bought this sooner!

Living at 9,000 feet, I love that I can select a temperature below 212 degrees. It is easy to maintain. The only bummer is how long it takes to heat up (around 40 minutes), but if you don't mind planning ahead, it is fine.

We love our Zojirushi! I'd had my eye on it for some time and when the little bookstore we frequented was closing out it's section dedicated to fine teas and accessories, we got a super deal on it. Even if all we did was make tea with it, it would have been well worth it, but I use it when making coffee, oatmeal, soups, pasta or when I want to add a bit of water to a simmering dish without dropping it's temperature. It's just so much more convenient than boiling water on the stove or in the microwave. It's right there and ready whenever I need it.

Only used mine for two days now and for what it offers it seems to be perfect. I would love to see a future model just like this with only a few changes: An adjustable timer (this one is set at 7 hours only) and add a 185F temp setting. If the stats as is work for you, GET IT, you won't be disappointed.

Hello all:

This is the 4th espresso machine I've had in the last 7 years. I loved the last Saeco machine I had. It was a more basic `manual' model sold at a popular coffee shop and worked well, but my counter was always full of coffee grinds; it was so messy. I decided to buy this about a year and half ago to eliminate that mess and because I knew Saeco makes a quality product.

This machine has been great, really wonderful. It makes such great espresso, has adjustments so it can be just how I like it, and is really so much neater. It is very convenient to make espresso and lattes as you desire.

When I bought this machine, my good friend bought a similar Krups make of automatic machine. She's had a couple of big hassles with it breaking and sending it back to the maker one of those nightmare consumer stories. Another friend bought one of these machines after I raved about it, and she has loved hers too.

I know it is a big leap to spend so much on an espresso machine, and it feels pretty extravagant, but it is a luxury that is really worth it for me. Since I make all my own drinks daily, and really limit buying coffee out, I think it really isn't so expensive. I know folks that buy an espresso drink or two a day at $3.00 a pop. That adds up quickly too. So I've basically made the trade-off and justified the expense that way.

This machine lives up to its `Magic' name. It really is amazing how it grinds and tamps and makes the espresso so automatically. It really does surprise your guests. The espresso is really delicious and the steamer is fast and powerful. The Saeco Magic Deluxe is quit a machine!

Just a word on espresso method of coffee:

For the last 7 years I've only drunk espresso coffee. Surprisingly, as strong (and delicious) as it is, it has less caffeine and less acid than drip brewed coffee. This is because the coffee is in contact with the water for only about 45 seconds. As the water is pushed through with pressure so quickly, the flavor and richness is extracted without the acid and caffeine. The other end of the spectrum would be `Cowboy Coffee' brewed by boiling the grinds in water over a fire this has so much acid and caffeine. Well, while I didn't drink the cowboy drink, coffee was bothering my stomach. When I switched to espresso, that stopped because of the reduced acid. For me this was a wonderful discovery because I do love coffee. You can check this out; I've read it so many times since I discovered this on my own.

We have had the Saeco MD for about 6 months and it has totally eliminated our trips to "that" coffee shop.

I agree that two boilers would be more convenient, but only marginally so. All you need to do to cool down after frothing is to run the water through the frother for about 10 seconds and its ready. Really NOT an issue.

We had a morning brunch for about 25 people and easily served 40-50 espresso drinks in two hours. This would have been unthinkable with our old machine. I think we sold 10 of them that morning.

This is really an excellent product worth its price.

I bought one of these last fall and have had reasonably good results until a few weeks ago. The grinder has ceased to put coffee into the system for brewing, resulting in a "bean out" warning light even when the hopper is full. Now I grind the coffee and use the bypass chute to make coffee less than "SuperAutomatic". I am finding that the system sometimes simply dumps the coffee grounds without making a cup of coffee for no apparent reason.

My wife also dislikes the positioning of the steaming wand; it should be on the side with a greater separation from the body of the machine.

I sent an email to Saeco's US Warranty station a week ago asking about a fix for this problem and have heard nothing. If there is no support for the product, it is not worth buying, even at a good price.

We had this machine and loved it until it started leaking all over the place. We sent it in for repair assuming that all parts were covered under the 1 year factory warranty. Apparently not. [$$$] repair costs already charged to our credit card and 3 months later, we still have not had our espresso machine returned to us by Saeco.

I purchased this machine in August and it lasted until October 31 before the motor gave out. I telephoned Saeco and, after waiting on hold for ten minutes, got to a "customer service" representative who told me to return the machine to them for service and they would return it to me in six to eight weeks. I responded that this was too long for a machine that was ten weeks old and this expensive. There was no response.

For as long as the machine worked, it produced great coffee, espresso, etc. I would not, however, recommend this product to anyone.

Proctor-Silex 48571 Automatic Drip Coffeemaker

First, it is very difficult to see the water in the little gauge that shows the amount poured in. So, it is quite easy to over-pour the water into the machine. Also, as it brews, it seems to get coffee and/or remnants of grounds everywhere on the machine--even in the cavity for the water. It is a very messy and not very sturdy machine.

I do not recommend it.

Works fine but seems a little bulky compared to the one that died on me. No measurements on-line and difficult to tell what size any of the pots were.

The plastic is cheap but 2 things I really like: it has a longer cord (3 feet) than my old coffeemaker, and it makes good coffee. I don't expect it to last long but I didn't spend much so I can live with that trade-off. I had a supply of cone shaped filters and this takes cupcake style... As I said, I don't expect it to last long.

Durgol Express Multipurpose Decalcifier

I'm reluctant to admit I had neglected the regular maintenance of my Carezza espresso machine for a year or two. While waiting for the Durgol Decalcifier to arrive in the mail, I flushed the machine with vinegar and cleaned the parts as described to get the cleaning process started. The machine still didn't work right. This Durgol product arrived today and I again flushed the machine according to directions, using this decaldifier. I'm amazed at the amount of sludge and disgusting grime that came out! This product is wonderful and has restored my espresso maker.

I bought a Capresso glass electric tea kettle and used for the first time spring water as I do prefer this than filtered drinking water for coffee and tea. After several uses, the chrome heating element became so corroded, and this spring water is bottled by the way, so I was forced to do some research.

On Amazon I found the above product and tried it. WOW, after following the directions, within a few minutes the chrome bubble in the glass carafe was shiny and new.

I was so impressed I then used it in my Meile washing machine, again very impressive, laundry came out lovely. By the way, the bottle doesn't say any thing about using it in a washer. In the UK, I can buy Calgon Tablets for this. Here in USA, I could not find Calgon at all for my washer.

Highly recommend this product.

I ran this cleaner through my drip coffee machine and the coffee tastes better... product is good.

The bottle asks you to use 1 or 2 cups of cleaner per cleaning; I ran it through with 1 cup for a 12 cup drip machine and it cleaned it well.

I think you have 6 cups of cleaner in one bottle.

There is no mention of the size of any of the Durgol products on your website.

In Switzerland, Durgol is sold in half-gallon plastic bottles at a very low price in most supermarkets, inexpensive even even when considering the strong Swiss currency. The espresso cleaner in the U.S. sells for about $6.82 for a 4.2 ozs plastic bottle. This extends to a price of $52.00 per quart or $208 per gallon! The product works very well, in fact just as well as regular white vinegar. After all, just about all mild acids work as well as the hydrochloric acid in Durgol in removing Calcium deposits. The Durgol Multipurpose Decalcifier, a very similar product, comes in an equally mysterious size.

I suggest that Durgol be more honest in the merchandising of its product and not hide the actual size of its products on your website. The pictures on the website are very deceptive.

Cuisinox Liberta 10 cup Espresso Coffeemaker

Received quickly, love it's look, very nice quality coffee pot we will use forever:) does a fantastic job and just feels nice to handle,, well made!!

This is a lovely expresso maker. I have made excellent expresso in the cheaper pots, but I am not keen on using aluminum cookware (altzheimer's, toxic metals, and all that!). This pot is very well made. It looks sleak and elegant on my stove and when serving to guests.

Cuisinox should send out better directions (but few folks give clear instructions). They need to include a photo that labels all the parts, but I managed to figure everything out. The extra metal filter with a small knob on top goes in upside down in the coffee holder for when you make only a half pot. They warn you not to screw the top on or off by twisting the handle as the torquing would make the handle come loose. This makes sense. Just hold the entire top to screw on and off. Don't pull on the handle to tighten or loosen.

They warn you to be careful that the handle gets hot. Dah! Any metal handle on the stove will get hot.

First, I was sent the liberta IN A NATURAL CAT LITTER BOX THAT WAS PARTIALLY SMASHED. The carboard liberta box was also partly dented inside the bizarre cat litter box. Unsurprisingly, the liberta itself had extremely apparent stains and even grains of espresso!

The next liberta that was supposed to be new also had scratches and smaller stains, but was obviously still used and still arrived in a natural cat litter box that was indented. The first even had huge stains of rust inside the water compartment. Both were huge dissappointments, and the next merchant I tried on a different website also sent me a product with espresso grains inside the metal compartment and even gave themselves 30 extra days on the second purchase to refund me because I had to send it back to Cuisinox for it to be "verified" as an old product! The woman from that company who spoke to me even refused to admit that her company possibly could send out a used product, and repeatedly tried to make me admit that it must have been "damaged" during shipping!

I know refuse to do business through wayfair for at least stainless steel products, and I unfortunately am going to use amazon prime to get a smaller size so at least it will not arrive in a cat litter box until this product becomes more widely available from companies that don't send products in ruined boxes. I have never had an ongoing problem with any metal cookware product, but it looks like I am going to have to use amazon prime and pray that the next one arrives in an unsmashed box, with no espresso or stains, but at this point I probably would not care if it came scratched!
