nicely styled and well made. Flat bottom makes it stable on the stove and on the table.Easy clean and the Chrome looks good, the handle is great too.... You can leave anything on the stove too long but at this price, you won't cry too long.

I received this as a gift about 5 years ago. I use it daily. Every cup is amazing. Even with cheap coffee beans. I brought this machine to work with me an now I am a favorite spot for coworkers to visit when they need a cup. I have a Keurig at home and I just really choke down coffee made in that. This Capresso just makes coffee that tastes great. I follow the "warning lights" when they come on and de-scale with special tablets and liquids when it calls for it and have had no problems at all. Turn it on, prime it with the push fo a button and in seconds you have wonderful "Crema" coffee. I use it in a big cup and have adjusted the water to allow me to have a pretty large cup of coffee (not a pure espresso dude here). Every coworker that has a cup tells me how amazing the coffee is. So I know they don't make these things anymore but the build quality, ease of use, and most important taste of coffee is outstanding. I am just gonna really be bummed out the day this decides to quit knowing how much I am going to have to pay for a replacement unit. In reality, it is not that much when you think of how much you could be foolishly spending daily just to carry a starbucks cup around. Again if you can find one buy it. I'm ruined as no coffee seems to taste as good as what comes out of this machine!

I struggled to follow the initial instructions for setting up the machine, but after speaking with the seller was able to get the machine operating correctly. It brews amazing coffee and espresso. I can't drink "other" coffee any more.

Hamilton Beach Two Way Brewer Single Serve and 12-cup Coffee Maker

Have had this coffeemaker for a few weeks and am extremely pleased. Very simple to operate, makes super hot coffee and love the idea of making a pot or just a mug/travel mug. The single serve side utilizes Senseo pods which are quite good and easy to find in my grocery store. You can also use non-pod coffee so options are limitless. It took me a lot of time to find the perfect coffeemaker for my household some of the reviews are scary (flooded kitchens). I absolutely love this coffeemaker and since I can also make just a cup of very hot tea, this has everything I could need.

just retired a $300 High price FANCY Coffee maker ...with all the bells and whistles on it., to the garage...... It made the WORSE cup of coffee I have had in years... Instant tastes better...

I bought this coffee maker a few days ago to replace a dated Hamilton Beach 12 cup machine. It solved having to purchase both a new 12 cup maker and a single cup brewer such as a Keurig. The single cup brewer uses the Senseo Pods which although don't have as many varieties available as K-Cups it does produce better tasting coffee.

The single cup side is perfect for making 1 or 2 cups when you don't need to brew a full pot. The carafe is on a hot plate and will stay warm for a couple of hours before it automatically switches off.

I'm only an owner of the product for 1 day, however I have brewed 6 single serves and 1 pot and so far, it works as described.

What I really loved about this machine was/is the concept. However, when I was deciding to purchase, I thought that it required the Senseo pads for the Single cup brew as there was very little info in the product features.

After receiving it, I was pleasantly surprised that the single cup brewing contained a little permanent filter that can be used with standard coffee grinds, awesome don't need to pay for the Senseo if I don't want to. It also came with a pack of 18 senseo pads as well.

Last night was perfect test of the single cup concept. I had already programmed and prepped my 7AM standard coffee brew, however I still wanted a cup of coffee (this happens often). So I switched over to the single cup and brewed my cup, then switched back and pressed the program button to ensure it would still brew the main pot at 7am. Worked like a charm!! Before I would have had to brew the entire 6 cups that were ready, toss out most of it and setup my morning brew all over again.

So far, very happy with the product. I will adjust review / rating as required, but so far 5 stars.

Update : 12/29/2012 1 Year later

It has been a year and the machine is holding up well. No leaks, no cracks, not even surface wear. If I were to notice one thing from day 1 to day 370 is the single cup brewer puts out about 4 drips after it shuts off where as it didn't do that 6 months ago. Again, that is the ONLY thing I notice after a year of use.

We brew about 1 pot in the main craft in the morning, and at least 3 cups on the side using the permanent filter every day. If it were to break today for any reason I would say it was worth the price and would purchase again.

The Scoop was a great replacement for our worn-out Hamilton Beach. Regular brew time for the single cup is about 4 minutes. The bold is about two minutes longer. The removable plates for the single cup allows us to use a variety of cup sizes and adding water and clean up is a breeze. Have only had this for a week, but we are very please. Will let you know if we have problems later, but we are looking at another long-lasting Hamilton Beach product.

Primula Emporio Aluminum Stovetop 6 Cup Espresso Coffee Maker

So far so good, but not great. Works, drips when pouring, but my old one did too. I think it's the nature of the beast. Instructions say use only coarse ground...but espresso uses fine? I'm confused now. I wish I could see when it's done "cooking" since I can't hear it finish like I could my old Italian 1 cup one (and the old one had a "window" in the top too). This new one hasn't made as good an espresso yet, but may need to be used more first (I've used it 6 or 8 times and threw the first three batches out as recommended) and I need to find just the right grind and amount to get as good a flavor as my old one. So far, not impressed. I think I'll buy a new gasket for my old one (I burnt it up) and make it one cup at a time again. sigh.

This is a great size pot to make 2 cups of capuccinno or 3 espressos. I like to have a good size espresso or cappuccino and this fits the bill. It will last you for years and at this price it is definitely worth it. I use my own coffee and just mill it finer for this machine, this way I save money and can make decaf espressos as well to enjoy at anight. This is a great little pot.

KITTY - 4 - cups

I cannot praise this little coffee maker enough! It makes the perfect amount for just me since I am the only espresso drinker in the house. It only takes a few minutes to make. Clean up is a breeze. The espresso (while not a true espresso) is close enough to the real deal to make me very happy. It is very easy to use. I would highly reccomend this product.

Home Basics Espresso Maker, 12-Cup

I am a huge fan of expresso and these types of makers. I purchased this product from Amazon, it was delivered quickly, which was nice, but it was missing the screen. Contacted Amazon, they had me send it back, no problem and sent me a new one.

It brewed nice expresso for a while, but then I noticed the inside metal seemed to be changing color and then there was a weird film in the coffee. I still drank it and used it daily. What can I say, I love myself some expresso! Then about a month ago I removed the expresso from the range and noticed metal melting on the range. Not a large amount, but enough to require some serious elbow grease and it is still visible. Hopefully one day it is completely removed.

Perhaps if this was not used daily as I did it may last longer, but alas I am out of my expresso machine and only able to type this review due to the drip coffee maker that I stored in the closet.
