Black & Decker CBG100S Smartgrind Coffee Grinder, Stainless Steel

I thought the only problem with this grinder was that it didn't grind up the beans completely until the grinder kept going even when the lid was removed! I had this grinder less than 30 days and, needless to say, it has been returned. At the speed these things grind they have to have safety features that work. It was an intermittent problem but even once is too often if you have to unplug the thing to get it to stop.

I have seen other people complain about this too. The coffee grinder sometimes keeps grinding even with the lid off. Do not buy.

This Black & Decker CBG100S Coffee Grinder needs to be recalled!

Mine worked just fine for about 6 months and then it malfunctioned the last time I used it. It ran without me pushing the on button and it continued to run without the lid in place. I think this is very dangerous! I have been using it about 4 times a week, and only for coffee beans. It had never been dropped or anything. It was clean and there is no reason for it to have done this.

I'm a weekend coffee drinker at home (get my coffee at work during the week) so I didn't need some deluxe machine. I was a little concerned that this grinder would be of good quality since it had a very reasonable price, but after it arrived and I used it I was very happy. Grinds great. You might get a couple of beans that did not grind all the way but this little grinder will give you a course or fine grind depending on how you like it. Why buy the big grinder to take up the counter space when all you need is this and when finished put it back in the cabinet where it doesn't take a lot of space to store. Great product would definitely recommend.

Read the instructions before you use it. They state explicitly to wait for the blades to stop turning before you remove the cap. They tell you multiple times to be careful because the blades are sharp. (And why shouldn't they be?) I think it's basic safety to just unplug it before you remove the grinds.

So far I have had great luck with this grinder. It is very powerful and sleek. I don't normally review products but I felt I had to pitch in my two cents because I don't think the negative reviews are justified. I would definitely recommend it. I got it for $15 at my local grocery store.

I will continue to use it and if it starts to show any decline in use or it prematurely breaks I will change my ratings to reflect that. However, so far it is serving me well.

Nifty 36 Coffee Pod Drawer

What I really love about this product is that it's compact yet holds 36 k-cups. Because of limited counter space I was able to stack one on top of the other and still slide them under my kitchen cabinets.Also,they were very sturdy one on top of the other.Looks great next to the coffee maker.Would definitely recommend.

The drawer itself is awesome. I really like the design and luckily the 36 is just the right size for our counter top. The problem is that when i ordered this product, i ordered the 54 capacity drawer. Even on my invoice it says "Nifty 54 Coffee Pod Drawer" but when you click on the item, it switches to the 36 (only if you click it from the orders menu, otherwise it just keeps saying 54), and even now the review title says 36.

Like i said, luckily the 36 is the better size and i also don't want to deal with returning/exchanging and trying to explain to someone who probably doesn't care.

i want so much to give this 2 stars for the mix up, but the drawer is pretty snazzy. It's a nice clean design, it's not obnoxiously big, and it's not in the way or anything.

It's a great product. Just make sure you know there's a chance you might end up with the 36 holder, not the 54.

If asked to sum up this coffee-pod drawer in one word, "sturdy" would be my enthusiastic answer. It is one hefty piece of metal sliding-drawer perfection it weighed in at 4 lbs. 11 oz. on my postal scale!

The drawers slide in and out with barely a hitch. Large rubber feet on the bottom means it stays put on your counter. The drawers have stops on the bottom so you won't accidentally pull them out completely. And best of all, 36 K-cups fit in perfectly, nestling cozily in 3 individual rows per drawer thanks to 2 divider bars in each.

Seriously, you can't go wrong with this product if you have only a couple of boxes of K-cups you need to store. So much more attractive than boxes! I do plan to eventually paint mine with metal spray-paint to complement my kitchen's color scheme.

Although the gaskets are durable, they get sticky after a while. Having access to replacements is great. I do not understand the need for an extra filter but maybe in time I will be happy it was included with the gaskets.

I bought the pot in perfect condition second-hand but it was missing the filter so I ordered this and it was perfect. It came with three rubber gasket rings.

I used this coffee maker a total of three times. The first time I was learning how to make the coffee; so it was so so. The second time, it made fantastic espresso. The third time, it almost killed me when the pot exploded on the stove. Heat was 'medium', the coffee was coming up nicely when I heard an ominous 'blonk' sound. The bottom part of the maker got a little malformed and canted the canister over a bit. I grab the handle and was lifting it off the flame when the bottom part of the maker blew off sending scalding coffee everywhere. I was incredibly lucky not to have gotten hurt.

3 Cup Replacement Gasket

Realize that all you are getting is one gasket in a ziplock bag. Most likely what is happening is this company is splitting up the packages that provide 3-4 gaskets and the metal replacement screen and bagging each gasket. For less that a few dollars more you can have 3-4 replacements and a screen. With Moka pots lasting so long it seems to make sense to have a few more on hand.
