Got it today ... is leaking from the day one ... water is all over the counter and on the floor ...

but prepared coffee is OK ...

We bought this through DirectBuy, so didn't have a chance to inspect it first. But we should have done some product research instead of jumping at the good price. The unit had some nice features: custom savings for 5 users, and multiple brew selections, but it failed right out of the box. The centre LCD worked for the first 6 cups, then went solid blue. Unlike our SAECO (which we love), the lack of an LCD means there are no diagnostics, and it is impossible to determine what stage of the cycle the machine is on. All programming is also lost. The initial cups of coffee seemed OK, perhaps a little weak, but we'll never know. The steamer is horrible: it requires a separate tygon/poly aspiration line which has to be flushed out after every use. The bean compartment is too small. The warm-up time is too long. Customer service is poor. Don't waste your money on thisyou will be quickly disappointed.

We have tried loads of settings and it still produces mostly froth, with little coffee taste. Almost like bad office coffee or weak coffee from a cheap store or hotel.

If you stand there with 3 cups and catch the pre brew and discard, save the good stuff, and discard the last 1/3 which is all froth, you get a decent cup of espresso. But for that price, you should get a great cup without all this nonsense. I have thrown out most cups, or save them to dump into iced coffee with lots of sugar. A real disappointment and not worth the money.

I bought a Wolfgang Puck One Touch Versa Cooker one year ago. It broke shortly after receiving it. After many phone calls and emails, and promises to send me a replacement... I have received nothing. One year my friends, and I still have not been refunded nor has the product been replaced. Wolfgang you should be ashamed of the company and product that you put your name on. SHAME! Be aware that if you buy this product you may experience the same lack of support I got. Money down the drain!

KRUPS XP160050 Coffee Maker and Espresso Machine Combination, Black

This Espresso maker is so much better than the older model. It is important to read the instructions as they are a little different than the previous model. The milk foams beautifully and the coffee it makes is excellent. Persistence pays. I had purchased the previous models which did not work properly. I called Krups and they had me send it to repair which I did. Repair was unable to do anything. Krups then sent me the current model which works very well. This is the second Krups product I've bought (and returned) recently. The heavy smell of plastic didn't go away after washing and running several cycles of water through this horrible coffee maker. Not to mention the fact that the espresso side didn't work at all; it would not heat up! I returned this awful product the same day I received it. Krups used to be a name you could relate to quality. Now they produce only junk. I wish I could have given it zero stars.

I advise you to stay clear of this terrible product .... and this company.

Smelled like burnt plastic even after one weeks use. I did not like the taste of the coffee ,although it was hot. My husband cut his hand on a sharp plastic piece on the carafe more than once. The unacceptable taste was reason enough to return it, so we never even tried the espresso part. Very disappointed!

The cone shaped filters I think why this coffeemaker makes a very rich delicious cup of coffee.I like everything about it. i brew about 9 cups a day for myself. I have it about a month,I paid about $40.00 a little expensive, but if it lasts a year or more it's worth it.

I've had no mechanical problems with this coffee maker and it makes a good pot of coffee. My two concerns are that I had to put about 10 pots of fresh water through to reduce the slight plastic smell before making my first pot of coffee. The mesh filter insert is nice for getting the most flavor out of coffee, but you need to be careful because the small cone filter can get pushed in so that a lot of the hot water runs down next to the filter. A big disappointment when you're waiting for your fist cup! I've solved that problem by wetting the filter with water before I put the coffee in and making sure that the leading edge is pretty well tucked in next to the mesh filter.

Giannini "Giannina" 6-espresso Cup Stovetop Espresso Maker

This product is clearly marked made in Italy. Comparing this to the other Alessi at 235.00 this is actually as aesthetically pleasing, the functionality of the patented handle design is superb ( stays cool ), and having used it it works very well and is easy to open,close and clean. Spare gasket was included and they are much cheaper and readily available on line without the high delivery charge from Italy. And the COFFEE is tremendous.

We bought this pot about 15 years ago in Europe and really never used it much. Then we we moved to Florida and experienced hurricanes and no electricity. I used this pot on our gas grill the two weeks we were without power and when I tasted how much better the coffee tasted I continued to use it daily ever since. I want to buy a new one just to have as a back up because the thought of not having this pot makes me nervous. But I think it will outlast me. Only drawback is that it makes so little coffee. The cups are demitasse so you really get about 3 regular size cups.
