Bunn Deliming Cleaning Spring, 01193.0000

Bunn Deliming Cleaning Spring, 01193.0000
  • Cleaning Spring (sometimes called a deliming spring)
  • Fits all home domestic and commercial Bunn coffee makers

This item is a stiff metal spring. It is thicker and less flexible than the plastic deliming tool. After unscrewing the water sprayhead, I was not able to insert the spring very far into the coffee maker. Did not work well at all; I think I buy a box of long plastic fasteners (the ones that you pull the tip thru the loop at the other end) and use that instead. FYI, my Bunn is the one that has the water holding tanks that keeps the water hot and is left on all the time. (The addition of cold water from the pot to the coffee maker displaces moves the hot water to the coffee filter)

I had issues trying to find the length and details on what Bunn this would work for. I finally decided to purchase and it was not long enough. Needed to be twice as long as this one.

Just what I ordered. Sorry, it's hard to get too excited over a coffee maker cleaning tool, but as cleaning tools go, this is a good on.

If you use a BUNN coffee maker this will keep your coffee tasting great, even in hard water areas. BUY IT.

I had given my Bunn Coffee Maker to a friend, then she returned it some years later (and it's still working like a champ), minus the deliming tool. Maybe the deliming tool has been changed to plastic since I got my Bunn, but this one is just like my original and it works great.

Hamilton Beach 80365 Custom Grind Hands-Free Coffee Grinder, Platinum

Hamilton Beach 80365 Custom Grind Hands-Free Coffee Grinder, PlatinumI too read all the reviews... I spent several hours, so let me save you the trouble. This item is sturdy, washable, compact, and grinds beans for anywhere from 4-12 cups of coffee.

I use it for both my 2 cup french press and my percolator, when my mill & brew coffee maker, which I have two carafs and 3 baskets for, is busy. We really get into coffee here I must have 10 varieties of beans in the freezer.

It also did a fabulous job grinding hazelnuts very fine for a cookie dough where the hazelnuts were, in effect, part of the flour.

I do love that the grinder basket and top can go in the dishwasher, and the little brush that is stowed on the back is a thoughtful and utilized addition.

The only drawback would be that if you are only making 2 cups of coffee and you want a course grind, you have to let the machine think you're making 8 cups, by moving the cup setting, as this machine is intended to grind beans for a minimum of 4 cups. When I make enough coffee for my percolator, I can get an intermediate course grind with no problem.

What sold me was this: After I read all the reviews I went to my local "megamart," found the grinders, opened up the boxes of the makes I wanted to compare, and I literally took things apart and put them back together.

Like another reviewer warned, stay away from those other grinders with the tiny (you can barely see them) plastic pins that engage the start button. Once those bits of plastic break off, you're SOL.

This is a very reasonably priced maker which I've had for 6 months. I love it so much, that for much of that time I've felt just a bit guilty that I hadn't yet praised this maker on Amazon. With that done it's time to grind some beans. :) Enjoy.

PS: It looks very pretty/handsome on the counter.

This is the best coffee grinder I have purchased (it is my 3rd over the past 10 years). This one is the best for multiple reasons 1) I dont have to continue to hold the button while it grinds, I hit the button once and it grinds and stops when the coffee is perfectly ground. 2) It has a deep container for holding the ground beans. Before I could only grind a small amount and than when I removed the lid it would be messy. 3) It has several different grinds to choose from all the way to a very fine espresso 4) It is styling and has a great hide away area for the cord.

What else is there? It is perfect.

This is my first hands-free coffee grinder. I had it about 2 yrs and liked it pretty well. It mysteriously stopped working a week ago as in other reviews. Instead of pitching it, I decided to pull it apart to learn why it died. Upon inspection, there's a switch that is activated by locking down the lid. The contacts are not sealed and had a coffee residue preventing conduction. All it takes is a quick scrape and it worked good as new. As for disassembly/reassembly, the biggest obstacle is the triangle-head screw in the bottom (I used a flat blade bit that just fit in one side). The other trick is placing the cleaned-up switch in the space on the outer housing before sliding everything back together. The whole job will take about 30 minutes so you'll have to decide if it's worthwhile. I should also mention that I fully expect this to happen again in a year or so. Good luck. This is the Achilles' Heel of an other wise great product.

I bought this as a gift for my husband-after reading a hundred reviews, I made my choice. This little machine doesn't do anything fancyit grinds beans-we haven't used it for anything else since we bought it to grind beans. It does a great job-it's easily put together, nothing spills, it's easily used-not much else to say.

Let me start off by saying that I worked for very large coffee retailer (you can probably guess whom)for MANY years, and have had extensive training in the coffee making process -from growing, harvesting, drying and roasting to grinding and brewing, so maybe my review is a bit harsh.

Anyway, I purchased this product in a moment of desperation because I wanted an inexpensive grinder to make my coffee in the morning while I save enough money to buy a nicer espresso machine. I have a French press and use (well, USED) the grinder on a daily basis. I didn't spend much on it, so I didn't expect peak performance; and at first, it got the job done. My major complaint was, as other reviewers said, it doesn't grind evenly. Even on the most coarse setting, you will wind up with some large chunks, some the appropriate size, and some fine dust. It doesn't matter if you fill it and grind 12 cups at a time, or grind it little by little, or what setting it's on.

Now, I haven't had the blasted thing but four months, and it's already out of commission. The blades are have dulled considerable and yesterday it died completely -won't even turn on. My recommendation? Don't waste your money on this plastic piece of junk, no matter how dire your need for a grinder. I wouldn't buy this again. In fact, based on this experience, I'm not sure I would buy ANY other Hamilton Beach product. If you love coffee enough to take the time to grind and brew your own, you obviously prefer a superior coffee experience, and to brew the best cup, you need grounds of a consistent size. You also need a grinder that works. Which isn't this one. Spend a little extra and get a burr grinder.

Cuissential SlickFroth 2.0 - Electric Milk Frother, Cappuccino Maker

Cuissential SlickFroth 2.0 - Electric Milk Frother, Cappuccino MakerThe SlickFroth doesn't cost as much as other milk frothers, but it seems to perform just as well. I have friends who have used the Aerolatte brand and others using the Ikea model, this Cuissential frother seemed like a nice middle ground to try out. The SlickFroth took some getting used to (which is probably true the first time using any frother), but once you get the hang of it, its like riding a bike. I use the frother a few times a week, especially on the weekends, for a fancy start to the day for the family and it has performed admirably every time. I've attached a video of the 2nd or 3rd time using the SlickFroth (I've gotten much better at making froth since then!)

Note: I purchased this unit, unlike other reviews where a sample was provided.

I have owned 3 different frothers prior to this purchase with prices ranging between $17 and $24, they include: Frother Bonjour, aerolatte, and an Italian one. I purchased the Italian one in Europe while on a trip. My prior experience with this type of frother is to assume a life expectancy of 12 to 18 months. I use the device daily and use it as of quick stir for my sugar and cream as part of my personal coffee bar. I do have a machine that makes froth (micro bubbles); however that is the $40 range (and I am on my second unit), which is pricey.

Pros-

Frother is very fast to reach its full speed (1 second), several other brands take a couple of seconds.

Torque is good and strong, better than the others

Makes good froth compared to the competition, slightly warmer milk/cream is best. Note: My experience is the froth does not last the entire duration while drinking your beverage. I put this in the pros category, because when compared to similar devices this one does a great job.

COST, great value

CON

I would like to see a color that fits my kitchen. Black would be nice.

If this Unit last 12 to 18 months like the rest, this is a good deal for a better product at a better price. It works longer, its an awesome deal. Shorter, well, although I will be disappointed, my cost will be more of a break even situation.

Yes, I would recommend this unit and would purchase again.

This Cuissential Slick Froth milk frother is amazingly easy to use. It's so easy that all you need to do when you get it is wash it and put in two double-A batteries (not included) to have it up and running. The power button is a small silver press-button on the end of the handle, which is easy to reach with your thumb. This makes turning off the frother easy to do with one hand in case you have something like a mug or glass in your other hand.

While each person has their own type of milk or cream they enjoy using with their cappuccinos, for reference, in my video I used cold 2% milk. The wand is long, so even using a tall glass you can reach the milk to make froth. The froth comes out very creamy and decadent. Firm enough that you can spoon it out, but still smooth enough that you can pour it out into your drink.

This frother makes froth just as well as my expensive Capresso frother does, only at a fraction of the price. It's extremely handy in size and doesn't require being plugged into outlets like others do. I love this since in my small kitchen, I only have a limited number of outlets and they are all filled to the max with other kitchen appliances. This small electric frother is perfect when you're limited on space, but want something that works just as well as the more expensive ones. And at such an affordable price, it's hard to beat!

A sample was provided for reviewing purposes.

I was very excited to get this frother and it worked really well whipping up the skim milk I use in my coffee. Unfortunately, the on/off switch is flimsy and stopped working on the 3rd day. I was very disappointed but happy with my ease in returning the product. Amazon gave me a full refund and the manufacturer sent me a new SlickFroth at no charge. The new one works just fine.

The SlickFroth 2.0 is very easy to use, and the cleanup is simple as well. It turned about half a cup of milk into two cups of foam. Nice for making coffee or tea lattes.
