This item is a stiff metal spring. It is thicker and less flexible than the plastic deliming tool. After unscrewing the water sprayhead, I was not able to insert the spring very far into the coffee maker. Did not work well at all; I think I buy a box of long plastic fasteners (the ones that you pull the tip thru the loop at the other end) and use that instead. FYI, my Bunn is the one that has the water holding tanks that keeps the water hot and is left on all the time. (The addition of cold water from the pot to the coffee maker displaces moves the hot water to the coffee filter)

I had issues trying to find the length and details on what Bunn this would work for. I finally decided to purchase and it was not long enough. Needed to be twice as long as this one.

Just what I ordered. Sorry, it's hard to get too excited over a coffee maker cleaning tool, but as cleaning tools go, this is a good on.

If you use a BUNN coffee maker this will keep your coffee tasting great, even in hard water areas. BUY IT.

I had given my Bunn Coffee Maker to a friend, then she returned it some years later (and it's still working like a champ), minus the deliming tool. Maybe the deliming tool has been changed to plastic since I got my Bunn, but this one is just like my original and it works great.

Sometimes I'll wake up in the morning and the coffee in the auto pot has turned off after 2 hours and I'm really wanting a fresh cup of joe, so I'll whip out my glass dripper. Placed on top of my mug with a #2 cone paper filter in it, I pour some hot water on the filter first; it helps heat your mug initially and the purists say it facilitates the brewing process when wet first. Slowly "circle" your hot water pouring only "in" the coffee grounds, not up the paper filter sides. Also, by circling you don't create a hole in the grounds going straight through the center of the bottom that clears a path. Take a couple minutes to pour. With the notched sides on the black plastic of the dripper I can see the level of the rising coffee without removing the dripper. Sure you can get a plastic dripper (got one too), but I love how glass is inert and doesn't transfer plastic odors. The inside swirls in the glass are supposed to help the downward liquid flow. It will fit on top of a mug up to 4 inches across. You don't get sludge in the bottom of your cup with this method like you do with the french press. Love this dripper.

I'll be taking for a test try tomorrow--but it looks like Pyrex quality (which was what I was hoping for).

Also, it looks like it will take other sized filters (other than Hario ones, which are expensive).

Will revise review soon after I give it a go. It was ridiculously hard to find a coffee drip that was made of glass, and this is one of the few out there. (yes, the black portions are plastic but are also removable and do not touch the liquid).

It was a present for my husband. He is very particular when it comes to good coffee and is very happy with it. It channels the water slowly through and being that it is made of glass there is no plastic residue.

After having another pour over for a few months I upgraded to the Hario V60 and there is no comparison. It is made well and provides a great extraction for your favorite coffee.

This is made of some thick, durable glass. I've dropped it on the counter a few times, and it did not crack. Try doing that with a Chemex, and you're going to be cleaning shards out of your hands. With that said, Chemex does give you a better brew, but that is because the Chemex filter paper is better than Hario filter paper. Don't get me wrong... I prefer this over the Chemex because I can actually fit it away in a drawer. I plan on buying some Chemex filters to see if they will fit in the Hario. Stay away from the Hario V60 plastic version.... unless you want some cancer with your coffee.... While I'm at it, stay away from the porcelain versions as well. Although this isn't made in China, I'm still weary about the leaching of lead.

I'm the occasional latte,cappuccino drink because I can't stomach paying $4-5 dollars for one at the coffee shop. But this little pot takes the cake. Follow the instructions though because they are written just right. They state that the first 3 batches are throw-outs, and even though I drank mine, that truly is the case. Batch #4 was the one and they've only gotten better each time. Follow instructions and watch the DVD provided and you'll be sippin' in no time. The only downside is that it's small. This is a one person deal, then you have to let the pot cool before starting it up again.

Meesh's review, "hit the nail on the head." I'm an urbanite and getting a good cup of coffee is easy to come by but the Bialetti adds convenience, independence and bit of a "wow" factor for when you have people over.

Melitta Ready Set Joe Mug & Cone Coffee Maker - Red - 64074

This is an ingenious concept---a miniature manual drip "coffeemaker" for one cup. I saw this in my local grocery store for $6, and I thought, "Why not give it a try?" I'm really glad I did. It makes a great single cup of coffee, so it's convenient to take to work or to keep on hand if you just want one cup of coffee. Also, it's so small that it's easy to store it. Some tips to keep in mind as you make a cup of coffee:

1) A course grind doesn't work as well with this. If you use a course grind, your coffee will be weak. I have a burr grinder and use a medium/fine grind. It's perfect.

2) The perfect tempature for coffee is somewhere around 206 degrees. I don't bother with a thermometer, but I just bring about 1 1/2 cups of water to boil in the microwave (using a Pyrex cup). I let it boil, and then just let it rest for about 30 seconds or so.

3) Pour enough water in to cover the grinds. You'll see it foam up at the top (if your coffee is fresh). Let that water flow through. This initial "soaking" of the grinds is important to extracting the flavor.

4) Finally, just pour the remaining water through (or however much you need to fill your coffee cup). The slower you pour, the stronger the coffee.

It sounds complicated, but believe me, it was really quick--quicker than making a cup of coffee in an automatic drip coffeemaker.

It's rare to find something that is cheap and works great, but this is just such a product.

This cone is useful if all you want is one cup of ground coffee, and don't want to deal with the hassle of a coffee machine.

One of the attractive features of this cone is that it has a little window in which you can see the coffee drip into the cup. Just put your ground coffee into a #2 filter, put the filter into the cone, and add boiling water to the cone. You will have to add hot water several times (about 3 times) as the coffee will take a while to empty into the cup.

Personally, I prefer to extract more flavor from the ground coffee, so I put the coffee into another cup and add boiling water to it, and let that sit for about 3 minutes before pouring it into the cone + filter.

The cone filter holder works well for making single cups of coffee. It's not really necessary if you do have a coffee maker, but perhaps good if you just have a tea kettle or other means of heating the water.

The set of the mug and the cone is an odd pairing of two different shades of red that are not asthetically pleasing to me, but the cone fits on other mugs and travel mugs so I don't bother with the included one. I don't know why I expected it to match and look pretty!

Also, the shipping is a bit steep for such a small, inexpensive item, but it came well-packed in lots of padding.

We've had one of these for years and it's perfect for making one cup of coffee at a time. The pot really only works best if you make a full pot (which encourages a one-cup-a-day drinker to be a one-pot-a-day drinker) and the french press was a bit of a pain to clean. Our original made excellent coffee (probably aided by the fact that it was very simple to clean). Also, it's great for camping it's easy to carry with you + makes (great) coffee anywhere that you have boiling water.

Costs less, less packaging/resources needed to make it, lasts forever, can make great coffee almost anywhere? That's a five-star product!

Unfortunately, we recently had to get a new one (lost the old one) and this design looks great, but the hole the coffee drips through is larger, so the coffee is weaker. Well, unless you use more coffee we had been using a standard 2TBSP scoop to make a cup in the old one, this one requires almost 2 of those scoops to come close to the same strength of coffee.

This design does look much more modern, and it is nice to see how full the cup is without having to lift the filter off.

I love having a simple, easily-cleaned, non-electronic way to get that one perfect cup of coffee in the morning. Because I can make it exactly as I like it, and in whatever amount suits me that day, I can get my coffee satisfaction for the day in one cup.
