Bunn Deliming Cleaning Spring, 01193.0000

Bunn Deliming Cleaning Spring, 01193.0000
  • Cleaning Spring (sometimes called a deliming spring)
  • Fits all home domestic and commercial Bunn coffee makers

This item is a stiff metal spring. It is thicker and less flexible than the plastic deliming tool. After unscrewing the water sprayhead, I was not able to insert the spring very far into the coffee maker. Did not work well at all; I think I buy a box of long plastic fasteners (the ones that you pull the tip thru the loop at the other end) and use that instead. FYI, my Bunn is the one that has the water holding tanks that keeps the water hot and is left on all the time. (The addition of cold water from the pot to the coffee maker displaces moves the hot water to the coffee filter)

I had issues trying to find the length and details on what Bunn this would work for. I finally decided to purchase and it was not long enough. Needed to be twice as long as this one.

Just what I ordered. Sorry, it's hard to get too excited over a coffee maker cleaning tool, but as cleaning tools go, this is a good on.

If you use a BUNN coffee maker this will keep your coffee tasting great, even in hard water areas. BUY IT.

I had given my Bunn Coffee Maker to a friend, then she returned it some years later (and it's still working like a champ), minus the deliming tool. Maybe the deliming tool has been changed to plastic since I got my Bunn, but this one is just like my original and it works great.

VeV Vigano Kontessa Oro Espresso Maker

Vev Vigano 8002 Vev Vigano Kontessa Oro 2-cup Coffee PotWhy is this considered to be the best?

1. It's stainless steel, ALL of it. No aluminum to leach into your espresso.

2. Used in conjunction with illy, Ground Espresso Coffe, Fine Grind (Dark Roast, Black Band), 8.8-Ounce Tins (Pack of 2) , the taste cannot be beat. Pay attention, there are so many types of Illy. Get the right one!! NOTE: at the store, the can will NOT indicate that it is FINE ground. Don't worry, it is. There is a little image of an espresso machine in the bottom right of the labeling of the can.

Why only 4 star?

1. The handle still gets really hot. So, make sure you buy a little silicone hand grab thingy!

2. When you screw the top to the bottom, where the release valve falls is inconsistent. Mine just happened to fall right underneath the handle. Not a good place for steam to be coming out (which doesn't always happen, but can).

Things of note that you cannot find in the Veg Vigano instructions or on websites:

1. It is critical that you only pack the FINE grained espresso just a bit. DO NOT TAMP it down like a real espresso maker. Doing so will cause too much pressure and may force the steam out of the release valve. However, if you just "drop" the grains into the little filter area, you won't get the right taste either, because they are too loose. Try it a few times, you'll see.

2. Temperature is critical. If you go with really high heat, the pressure will build early and water/steam will start to release out of the release valve. BUT, too low will yield a sort of "burned" coffee taste since it sat in the maker a bit too long. Medium heat, just a tad towards high is it. I've tried it on both electric and gas. ALSO get it to the point where you can hear it gurgling in the top area, and it's time to pour.

I hope these details help you all make the best espresso around.

If you want to take it to the next level consider buying a Capresso frothPRO It will create foam that most coffee drinkers can only dream of (and it makes good hot chocolate, too).

Top the foam with either cinnamon, or chocolate shavings? Why pay more for substandard coffee art the local Starbucks?

Enjoy.

I've been searching for the perfect cup of espresso since I left Italy a few months ago. This is the first stovetop espresso maker I've used that captures the true flavor of Italian caffe'. I highly recommend it.

I LOVE my new Kontessa Oro 2-cup Coffee Pot! It works great, easy to use, and easy to clean. The only thing I recommend is that you should always clean it and leave it disassembled after each use, to allow it to dry well so that the coffee doesn't taste or smell bad.

The seller packaged it very well, what you see is what you get, and it arrived very fast-within 3days!

Over alla great buy from a great seller!

Got it because it is made of stainless steel instead of aluminum like my bialetti moka (although there is no good scientific data clearly defining cause-effect relationship of aluminum on neurologic function, the aluminum does rust). I also got the 2-cup because sometimes only one person wants coffee and I hate to waste a bunch of coffee beans for my 4-cup bialetti. However, despite using fresh ground coffee, purified water, adjusting amount of water placed, adjusting heat applied, have not been able to make anywhere as good a cup as my bialetti. Looks nice and shiny, but gathering dust in my cupboard. Will it make better coffee than my drip coffeemaker? A little, but not worth the work.

Want VeV Vigano Kontessa Oro Espresso Maker Discount?

First off, this pot does make a damn good espresso but considering the price, I expected fewer "defects" in the construction. The cap is attached quite flimsily and I don't expect it to stay attached very long. Doesn't sit right when closed but this doesn't affect the brewing of the coffee so I decided I could live with it and kept the pot. The small silver part of the handle started showing signs of wear after the first wash, obviously not stainsless steel, but the bulk of the pot is so again decided it was OK. All in all a good little pot but when its time to upgrade to a larger moka pot I'll probably be trying another high end brand.

Capresso 153.04 C3000 Automatic Coffee and Espresso Center, with Pump-Auto Cappuccino System

Capresso 153.04 C3000 Automatic Coffee and Espresso Center, with Pump-Auto Cappuccino System[T]he C3000 has the most effective auto-frother I've ever seen. You just fill a detachable plastic container partway with milk, plug it into the milk feed, and press a button for frothed milk. An adjustable plastic valve lets you control the milk/steam ratio to adjust frothiness. Since it's a 2-boiler system, you can run the steamer immediately before or after (but not during, presumably due to power constraints) espresso preparation. My only complaint is that you can't effectively use the steam wand to just steam milk because it is too short and not height-adjustable. With my Magic Deluxe, I can use the steam wand to make hot chocolate, or simply to heat my steamed milk to the temperature I want. With the C3000, if you don't get the milk temperature right the first time, you have to microwave it. Running it through the forthing system again doesn't work because it will scald the milk and also leave a bunch of foam behind in the milk container.

I was also disappointed that the system can't be plumbed in. There are semi-automatic machines ...that can be plumbed in. Also, it has a vibration pump, rather than the rotary pump used in almost all commercial machines and some...semi-commercial machines.

That said, though, the quality of the espresso it produces still compares quite favorably with what I've gotten from commercial equipment. Making espresso is trivial, involving only pressing a button and waiting. Every factor except the water pressure can be controlled to your liking, and the automatic cleaning and descaling cycles are easy to use, once you figure out how to read the manual.

If you want a machine that every coffee drinker in the house can use to get top quality espresso, and aren't too picky about price, this is the machine for you. If you want to economize a bit (and don't mind learning frothing techniques), get the Saeco Magic DeLuxe. Don't buy the Capresso C1000, though. Despite the similar name, that machine is far inferior to the C3000, and also inferior to the Saeco Magic DeLuxe, in my opinion.

As advertised, this machine is a marvel of automation, with coffee and espresso available at the touch of a button. The unit cleans and monitors itself. It's really quite easy to use; there is a helpful video included with it. The coffee is "crema coffee" which is very flavorful; devotees of drip coffee may find it a bit stronger than what they're used to. Everything is customizable and programmable.

If you've had espresso/cappucino machines before, you know that the milk frothing is a total inconvenience. Not so with the c3000; just hook up the included milk container to the steam arm and you have LIMITLESS steamed milk. Great for hot chocolate (or Cafe and Coco)......

The only downside is that there is more plastic used in the construction of the unit than I would expect given the rather staggering price.

Enjoy....you deserve it!

If you're like me you're probably thinking "HOW MUCH for a *&%$ cappucinno machine???? You've got to be kidding me." The fact of the matter is that it's worth every penny to me. You see, I'm a Starbucks addict, an affliction that I probably figure costs my wife and I upwards of $10/day, or, should I say, used to cost us $10/day.

I'm a little bit of a coffee snob, and have 3 cappuccino machines sitting in my garage gathering dust. The problem was, THEY ALL (...). Really. Way too much time to make a latte, a huge mess, and it NEVER TASTED quite right. If you're reading this, you know what I'm talking about.

This machine does it all. It grinds, it taps, it brews, and it makes PERFECT latte's (yes, just like Starbucks). There's a small canister that holds the milk that you can keep in the fridge. When you want to steam, pull it out of the fridge, plug it into the machine, and that's it. When it's all said and done, I don't think it takes me more than 3 minutes to set up, make 2 lattes, and clean up. Between the time I save schlepping to Starbucks AND the $10/day, I'm way ahead of the game.

Besides, you can knock out cappuccino for yourself and a half dozen of your snobby friends in less than 10 minutes!!!!

If a coffee house quality drink is important to you and you don't want to end up with one more useless machine, bite the bullet and buy something you'll be happy with.

The ONLY negative I can possibly think of to say about this machine is that I figured that for as much as they were charging for this machine, the thing should probably have been in some sort of cool looking brushed metal or copper, not plastic (the picture makes it look like metal, at least I thought it did).

Hope this helps.

This machine does it all one team at work invested in one, and they're the caffeinated pride of the office. However, don't compare the coffee as "just as good as Starbucks". Assuming you don't use Starbucks's 30'-overroasted beans, this machine will make coffee that's BETTER than Starbucks. Trust me there are enough coffee choices here in Seattle for me to judge. :)

In short, though, excellent investment.

I am totally blown away at how great a cup of coffee or cappucino this machine makes! It rivals the best that you have ever had, in either Italy or the best restaurants in the world, it simply doesn't get any better. And it is so cool to use! Just push a button and have a perfect cup! It is so technologicaly cool, it puts a smile on your face. It adds such a sense of enjoyment to mornings and after dinner. I will probably use this device more than any other appliance or gadget I own, which makes the cost look that much more reasonable. Ain't life wonderful!

Starbrand Products Gevalia 12-Cup Coffeemaker

Starbrand Products Gevalia 12-Cup CoffeemakerI got this free from a Gevalia offer bought 2 pounds of coffee, didn't even have to pay s/h. I liked the looks of it we got the black with stainless steel.

That said, I would never have paid any amount of money for this. The first one broke within a week. It worked for a few days. Then, the coffee came out cold. Then, it stopped working completely.

Gevalia sent a free replacement (the guy on the phone admitted, off the record, that these things break often). They didn't need the old one back, so I opened it up to see if it could be repaired (a hobby of mine).

No surprise that ALL the parts came from Asia. I also discovered that BOTH the pump and the heating element broke, separately. So even if I fixed/replaced the pump, the coffee would still come out cold. This is quite amazing to me, since my previous coffee maker still works after nearly 20 years, and after having been dropped many times. Oddly, the wiring was sturdy & just fine (side note: a high percent of appliance problems/failures are simply frayed wires, which can be easily mended with electrical tape, even by a novice, in under 5 minutes).

The replacement unit came & works (almost 2 years old now). But I still have major problems with it:

Pros:

* Stainless/black steel looks sleek

* Digital clock

* Auto-shutoff

* Reservoir float indicator is nice

Cons:

* "Pause & pour" does NOT work well. Only works 50% of the time, again, due to bad design. The rest of the time it makes a huge mess. This was the case on both my units.

* The stainless finish gets dirty easily

* There is no backup battery, so the clock resets every time you unplug the unit.

* The pump will definitely not last long it's overworked due to poor design/layout.

* Because it's a top-load pump & filter, the steam comes up through the top. You cannot change the filter for 20 minutes, without risk of scalding yourself. It would be very difficult to make 2 consecutive pots of coffee (i.e., if you have guests). Plus, the excessive steam warped the cabinets above the unit.

* The worst problem the reservoir is only about 1" in diameter. It's impossible to load it without spilling.

-> Bottom line: Looks nice, but I've never heard of such a difficult, problematic coffee maker. This almost seems like a practical joke by some engineers, or perhaps designed by someone who has never used a coffee maker before. Avoid this one.

This is your basic coffee maker.

Things you should know:

The "stainless" finish is actually grey paint. That's fine; it doesn't look bad. I would actually describe the color as "aluminum".

It uses cone filters. This is a plus, and what separates this maker from, say, a Mr. Coffee. The rest of it is basically the same thing. Ancient technology.

If you pull the carafe out while coffee's dripping, it'll stop -a "pause" feature. Don't they all do that nowadays?

I never use the timer/programmability feature. As stated elsewhere, the clock has no battery, so, if you unplug it, you have to reset the time. My stove and microwave both have much bigger/brighter/better clocks, so those are my main ones. The main advantage of the electronic on/off switch is that it will switch itself off after some time, in case you forget. Not having the house burn down is always welcome.

There is a water tank float gauge on the side, so you can tell exactly what the water level is. This is nice, especially if you can reach the maker using your sink sprayer, to fill it. (I can't, but wish I could.)

My main complaint? The carafe dribbles when pouring coffee. You have to do it slowly. It's kind of annoying -but not enough to make me buy another one; I'm just going to wait until this one dies. (I've been waiting a while now. Murphy's Law.)

A friend of mine gave me her Cuisinart grind and brew, real stainless, $200 coffee maker. It turned out to be ridiculously complicated and hard to clean and missing some basic feature this one had, so I went back to this simple Gevalia. Simple + reliable = good.

As stated elsewhere, this is the kind of machine you get when you sign up for Gevalia's coffee club. (I didn't do this. I think I bought it used on a leading auction website.)

Would I buy again? Probably. I'd want one that has all the same features, minimum.

I got this coffeemaker for $14.95 from the Gevalia website with a stainless steel scoop and pound of coffee included. Not sure why anyone would pay $100+ dollars for it when they offer it on their site for next to nothing. That aside this is a great coffeemaker. It has pause and serve feature, so you don't have to wait for it to finish brewing a full pot to pour a cup of coffee. The stainless steel look is perfect for kitchens with or without stainless appliances. All the functions work perfectly and the coffee they offer is GREAT coffee!

Over 3 months ago in early January, 2009, I ordered a replacement carafe for the "free" coffee maker they sent me. The wrong one was sent. I called and was assured they would send me a return address label. After a month, I called again and was told the same thing. The third time I asked for a supervisor and was told it would be handled. The forth time, I threatened to put up a youtube video and promised results. This was Andy employee number 643113 on April 2. Still nothing in the mail. On April 20 I called again and was told that my credit card had been refunded, but to get the proper carafe I had to re-order and be charged. I said, "You have got to be kidding. After 3 months of hell?" I still have not heard from them, nor do I expect to. I am stuck with the wrong carafe cluttering my house. I sent this review to Gevalia and they simply repeated their new song: your account was refunded to get the correct carafe, re-order. Fat chance!

Zevro Indispensable Coffee Dispensers

Zevro MCD200 Indispensable 1/2-Pound-Capacity Coffee Dispenser, BlackI bought this because I hated digging in those bags of coffee especially when it got down to the bottom.

While this looks very nice I have it next to my coffee pot on the counter, it leaks coffee out the bottom from the time you pick it up (just a tiny bit then) to the time you put it back (note: putting back in tray very gently) it leaks at least a half to three quarters teaspoon out. The tray is helpful at catching some but it is very small and a custom fit to the dispenser, it does not help. I still end up with coffee on the counter. I thought this was going to be a wonderful (especially since it is non-electric)appliance. It turns out I waste way to much coffee. I have just written an email to the company to see if there is a fix for this extra leakage. So I'm not sure if this is common to all. Just know mine is worthless.

I really like this product. It requires refilling every 5 or 6 pots of coffee, but is really handy for making a quick pot.

Buy Zevro Indispensable Coffee Dispensers Now

Good dispensing mechanism & looks GREAT on the counter! I would probably give it a 5-star if I happened to be using it with course/DRIP grind coffee. For FINER grinds, however (such as gold-filter or espresso), the dispensing dose tends to get a little too compacted to fall out very easily. You have to tap/pound it over the filter basket a little for the coffee to fall out. Gets a little messy over the small metal espresso filter cup I use. I got better at it w/ practice but will probably go back to 'scooping' my coffee since a somewhat fine espresso grind is the only grind size I use.

*** Update ***

I now use this coffee dispenser for my RAW SUGAR. (Turbinado, not brown) Works quite well with the course granules & dispenses a perfect 2 teaspoons for for my daily travel mug.

P.S. The other 1-star review seems to have gotten attached to the wrong item. This item is a coffee dispenser, not a coffee meter (not sure what that is) and is shipped/sold by Amazon.com, not ToolsOnline.

It's working great after an adjustment to the bottom screw.

Turn product over, there is a screw/whatever it's called that can be tightened.

Make sure the opening is alligned before you tighten.

Remember that the coffee drops from the opening closest to the handle.

Angle it a little before you squeeze the handle.

You should now have dispenced without a mess.

Working great for me.

My only wish is that it was shorter and held more coffee.

Mr. Coffee Coffee Grinders

Mr. Coffee IDS55-4 Coffee Grinder, WhiteThis amazing little blade grinder has been crushing up our beans now for seven years and counting! They should have called it the Energizer ... it just keeps grinding, and grinding, and grinding ....

No bells and whistles, just plug it in, fill it with beans, put on the lid, push down on the button, count to ten, turn upside down filling lid with grounds, dump grounds from lid to coffee maker basket, replace lid, put back in cupboard 'til tomorrow morning.

If you need more from your grinder, don't look here, because that's all there is to it. But if you just need to make great coffee every morning, and need a reliable grinder at a great price, this is the one you are looking for.

Put me down as one fully satisfied customer.

It has been about six months since I started grinding my own coffee beans with this Mr. Coffee grinder. I usually use it three times a week. And my Mr. Coffee grinder is still going strong.

Of course, I read all of the instructions before attempting to use. (Like everyone one does right?) The instructions state in big bold letters to use only for grinding coffee beans. This grinder should not be used as a nut grinder or any other food items. There could be some cross contamination of flavors. "Good idea!" I said. But. What if I wanted some nut flavor with my coffee? Hint: If you did grind another food source, put in some bread pieces and grind. The food particles should be picked up with the bread. It is now back to its original state.

The grinders size is perfect for up to a 12-cup coffee maker. I always fill my 12-cup coffee pot, so I wanted to know how much whole beans to use. So once again I found this from the instructions. Six tablespoons. This is the maximum holding capacity for this grinder. Perfect.

Consistency ground size comes next. Yes after nine seconds the size should be perfect for my automatic drip coffee maker. And it was. Any longer than that the grounds would become powder, which is good for espresso and coffee in your cup. Some people like that so that would work for them.

A safety switch will automatically shut off when not in use. That is a nice feature for the safety conscience. When done grinding your beans, turn the unit over, tap a couple times, and "Walla" a pouring device. Pour right into your coffee filter. Turn on coffee machine and now you have time to clean out the grinder.

The grinder needs to be cleaned after each use to keep it in tiptop shape. And have a longer shelf life. One drawback is that some powder sticks to the bottom of the grinder. I just get a paper towel and wipe it out. Presto, cleaned until next time.

Grinding coffee beans at home gives the freshest coffee I can get at home!

Buy Mr. Coffee Coffee Grinders Now

an easy way to clean your coffee/spice grinder: put a small peice of bread in it (about a 1/4 slice) and pulse a few times then dump it out...and you're done:)

I purchased this as a replacement for a friend's (which I dropped and broke). It's an adequate grinder, but not top of the line. The ground coffee particles range in size from powder to fairly big chunks. It gets the job done, but I'd consider spending the money for a better one with plate grinders rather than the food-processor-type blades. It's also difficult to clean.

I went through my first one in four months. The second one burnt out a motor the very first time I used it. With much better models going for just a couple of dollars more, there's no reason to miss a single morning's cup of coffee because of this product. To it's credit, it worked well during its short life.

Chinook Granite Expresso Coffee Makers

Chinook Granite 3 Cup Espresso Coffee MakerUPDATE: After a year of continuous use, the paint has peeled off! It looks really bad. Maybe a year seems like a long time, but I think my previous, simple, aluminium model lasted a decade.... :o(

I wanted a stovetop espresso while staying in the USA and so bought one of these. It has a speckled grey enamel finish (or some kind of paint it is not anodized that seems to be tough and "stuck on" well). It also comes in a small black nylon pouch (I think the idea is that it is to take camping?!).

Anyway, it looks fine and works fine just the same as any other.

It's quite light an expensive Bialetti would be heavier but I imagine it will last just as long (these things seem to get damaged handles, or seals, or lost filters, before the body itself wears out in any way).

The only thing that surprised me was the sizing. I thought that the coffee maker I had owned before was "2 cup" size (this is the size I have seen them described as in the UK and in Chile). Since I could only find 1 and 3 cup sizes here, I assumed American cups must be bigger (everything is bigger in the USA right?! :o) and so ordered the 1 cup. But that is a tiny little thing, that would make one espresso cup. I then bought the 3 cup model, which appears to be size of what I have back home it makes one "teacup size" cup of coffee.

I ordered the Chinook Granite 6 Cup Maker as a Christmas present to myself and boy was I disappointed. There were metal plastic pieces inside the Coffee Maker when I first opened it. Then when I went to make myself an Espresso the water started seaping thru the gap on the top side of the handle so instead of me enjoying an Espresso my stove top got to enjoy it more...I tried to make another cup of Espresso just to make sure it wasn't me doing something wrong but the same thing happened again, the coffee would seap thru the gap near the top of the handle and no coffee was in the top part of the coffee maker therefore I am returning it to back to Amazon and gonna invest a few more bucks and get a more reputable Espresso Maker like a Bialetti rather than take this cheap deal that seems to enjoy overflowing onto my stove.

Handpresso Case #HPCASE, Black

Handpresso Case #HPCASE, BlackI have a funny story about my Handpresso that starts at gate security at McCarren International and ends with me trying to explain to some TSA why I need to carry a spare O-ring.

However, rather than bring that into this review, let me just say that when I order a replacement for my confiscated Handpresso, I'll probably pass on the case! I mean, it already resembles some kind of space age peener pump! Why in the world put it in a rifle case? With balls? Why not slap a biohazard symbol on the side while you're at it?

My husband uses the hand held espresso maker every day. He takes it to work and brings it back home for the weekends. He loves it. The handpresso case makes it easy for traveling around.

Buy Handpresso Case #HPCASE, Black Now

The significant discount on the Handpresso and its case made this an impulse purchase.

It should be hard to get a case 'wrong' one could question its usefulness when the Handpresso could just as easily be protected in luggage by being wrapped in clothing or similar instead, but a case is a case. The unfortunate thing is that this case tends to take about a minute to open or close, simply because it is next to impossible to pull the zip around from the long handle part to the bulbous end. The zip doesn't want to move around this concave section and every time you try to open or close the case it feels like an unreasonable amount of force is needed, to the point that I'm surprised I haven't broken the zip already.

**UPDATE -after a few months of use, this case is becoming ever easier to open and close. It's still a bit awkward, but with a bit of tugging it opens quickly enough every time and I haven't managed to break it yet.

GAT Konica 4-cup Stovetop Espresso maker

GAT Konica 4-cup Stovetop Espresso makerWe went with this because we didn't want aluminum. It's great. It's very solid, heavy-bottomed, well made, the handle remains cool, easy to clean... No complaints!

Was looking for a reasonably priced, stainless steel Espresso maker, that wouldn't break after the second attempt to make a cuppa. It was a present for my mom, who loved it. It looks nice and sturdy, the gasket doesn't smell, the base is wide enough for our gas stove (I was worried as the Turkish coffee pot keeps falling off the rack as its base is too narrow for it). No spills, no burns, just what you need in the morning. Easy to clean, assemble and use. Takes about 5-7mins to make 4 (small) cups of coffee. Would definitely recommend.

UPDATE: it's been more than a year, the Espresso maker still works, even though it's not as shiny as it used to be (gas stove, remember?). The handle feels a little wobbly now, but so far it doesn't give you a hard time to pour coffee without spilling or burning oneself! Would still recommend.
